love the ornament idea, not a huge fan of pooh...what about something like a snow flake?

that is what i was originally looking for - either a ball or snowflake- believe it or not this is the cheapest thing i've found so far that is of good quality....

someone said to put a little note - that is a good idea, maybe i can write from our tree to yours - and something how we love disney or pooh or something

One more thought...does everyone celebrate christmas? I would hate to be the one jewish person at your wedding who gets an ornament ya know?

And I am trying to think of a cute pooh bear poem for you!

I would stick to a simple ornament. Many people won't understand the significance of Winnie the Pooh.
I would personally, do a personalized ornament. The favor is supposed to be a rememberance of your wedding day. When they hang your ornament up (with your names on it), they will recall all of the fun they had at your wedding. If you give them a Pooh ornament or just a plain bell, in 5 years...they are going to ask themselves, 'What is this ornament from? Who gave this ornament to me?' JMO!!!

Oh, and you said that you wouldn't want to hang up an ornament with someone else's name on it...it's only 3 weeks out of the year. After 3 weeks, they put it back in the box for next year.

I went to one where they gave out Lenox snowflakes and I thought it was soooooo super nice!

The Pooh I'm not crazy about...just my 2 pennies!

i totally get what you are saying, but i just dont like things with names on them, i personally think favors with names are corny, it reminds me of bar mitzvahs and sweet 16s - thats just me though - i dont mean that to offend anyone, i just always throw things out if it has peoples names on it i dont want to drink out of a mugh with someone elses name on it - and one year we got a gorgeous ornament ball with the couples name and wedding date on it - the ornament was gorgeous but we arent close anymore - so why would i want to see their names on my tree hahaha - last year we turned it around but when i took the tree down i just threw it away - if it was plain i would have kept it...i rather someone say, oh cute, its disney, and if they keep it they keep it - and if not they can re-gift it i wish they had the year ornaments for less money - like a nice 2008 ornament - but no luck finding anything on lenox around $5 each - just the pooh....oye - favors are annoying, i wanted to just do a donation but i feel like even a crappy favor is better than no favor - thats not my personal feeling b/c i usually dont even keep the favors - i just know that for some reason people are always curious to see what the favor is

NO!! I'm a huge Disney nerd though, so if I got this as a favor I would love it!!! I think it's cute, especially since your wedding is in December.

i love the ornament idea, not in love with the pooh. and as far as personalization, i totally agree with you, maybe if you wanted to give it a personal touch you could put just the date on it? plain is great too, but just an idea in case you wanted to make it yours without splashing your names all over it.

I think that is very cute but, does it fit into your wedding theme?? If not a simple snowflake or even snowman might work better. Unless you can come up with a cute saying to attach to the favors!

Re: 09 girls need help

Nicole - I love ornament favors. I have recieved two in the past (one for a shower and one for a baptism). I put them on every year and I like that they are not personalized. I think the pooh is cute. It doesn't need to be the bes or everyone freindly ornament ever, after all it is a wedding favor and its cute for a tree and I know if someone like my FH got something like that as a single guy he would just give it to his mom.

I love christmas and I collect ornaments (both pricey ones and just souvenir ones from every place I travel to). if I got this I would think it was cute, put it in my xmas tree box and use it every year. As long as most of your guests celebrate christmas, I say go for it - no need to stress yourself out looking for the perfect ornament!

i'm not worried about young singles b/c 20-30 yr old guys aren't going to do anything with an ornament anyways or any favor for that matter

im trying to stay away from things with our names - i dont really like personlization on favors, especially on something that is meant to be used....i dont know, i wouldnt want to see other peoples names on my christmas tree but thats just me, maybe im evil hahahaha

I absolutely agree with the personalization thing. It's nice to attend someone's wedding but I don't need to be reminded of it with their names every year I put up my tree. I like the ornament you posted, very cute.

I fully agree with you about this! I have to admit that I am a Winnie the Pooh lover, so I say yes go for it!

Re: 09 girls need help

this is just a suggestion....but last christmas at costco, my mom bought these three gorgeous snowflake ornaments where you can put a little picture inside and what she did was she bought a bunch of them and put a pic of my newborn nephew in them and gave them to family members....trust me, they were really nice ornmanets and i was thinking to myself, wow i wish i were getting married in december b/c that would be my wedding favor and if u put a pic in it, people could always take it out

An ornament for a Christmas wedding is cute, but although you love Pooh others probably won't. What about an ornament that represents love. Like a glass heart or a kissing bell.

Or an ornament that they can put photos in later. Or you can use as a placecard holder.
