Can anyone recommend a fun Mexican/latin restaurant in Queens for a bridal shower?? I heard there was on in Astoria, but I have no idea what the name of it is. If anyone can help, thank you...

Thank you! This seems to be the only nice Mexican restaurant in the area. lol. I live in whitestone and am looking for another place to compare $$ before I book, I heard there was place in Astoris BUT i can't find this place! thanks for your suggestion!

there are 1 or 2 mexican restaurants on austin street. not sure if its good for a party though.
also they opened a new mexican restaurant on about a block away from slate pool hall (northern and bell). i forgot the name. but if i remember correctly they may have an upstairs area. its pretty cute.
ive only been there for drinks/dessert, so not sure about food.
tequila is probably the best bet for a party because it is big/

theres an amazing argentinian rest in jackson heights.. theres free parking across the street @ elmhurst hospital.. its a veryyy cute place and every1 is super friendly.. (skirt steak is the best ive ever had) and prices are probably cheaper than tequila sunrise..
its called LA FUSTA (the whip they use for horses, in case u were wondering)

There is one on Broadway called El Mariachi. I have never been there but have past it a number of times. Is that the one you are talking about?

5 burros on austin street is awesome. I havent been there in about a year but the food was excellent edited for typos

what about piopio??? theres 2 of them on the same block but 1 is nicer than the other lol
omfg how could i forget..the funnest palce is LA BASURERA(meaning garbage) on steinway..(the decore is literally from the junkyard..they have a truck in the middle of the place.. its really cool lol)
but u cant have a party there.. just go there with friends for dinner..when its ur birthday they shut off ALL the lights in the restaurant and they sing happy bday and come out with horns n stuff..its awesomee

Okay I know of an excellent Spanish restaurant that also has private rooms for parties. It is called Marbella, near Bell Blvd.
The food is excellent!!!

Yes! La Basurera! lol. I forgot about his place! haha. It's a cute place, but you're right, it's more of a place for drinks and dinner with friends.

its across from pier25a on northern.. in that hotel..heard nothing but great things... not sure if theres any entertainment or fun...
but u can always hire amariachi band lol
