Re: 1 photographer vs 2 photographer!!!
EDIT: I was totally off with what you asked hah. We're having two photographers, but it also ended up working in our budget.

Wait, do you mean you're comaring photographers or that you don't know how many photographers you want there on the day of? If it's the latter, definitely have 2 there espcially if it's only a $500 difference.

Re: 1 photographer vs 2 photographer!!!
2 are better than one! Ours said while one is getting shots of the group, the other can zoom in for close ups. Also one could be doing portraits while the other is getting pics of all the details. You can also have a photographer with you and one with FH while getting ready. You can get two different angles of your ceremony also. One can be up close while the other can be taking wider shots further away. Go for it! You won't be sorry.

im thinking the same thing. we went overbudget for our hall so im trying to find a way to convince FH - i might just do a basic video to make this work..

I would say 2 unless you are having a tiny wedding. I was convinced to do 2 once our guest list ballooned!

Re: 1 photographer vs 2 photographer!!!
We are only having 100 guests but are still having 2 photographers. Since photo and video is most important (after the vows) that is why we opted for 2.
Especially if it's only $500 difference I would go for it

Definitely go with two :) My FH and I will be having three (it just worked out that way because one of the photographer's wife works with him capturing long shots). FH though it was overboard, at first, but he knows how I am about pictures and capturing memories :)

ITA! 1 photohrapher won't be able to capture every single good shot, but if he has an 2nd photographer, he'll be able to take pics of those moments
