10/20 Wedding Review

First of all i would like to say thank you to all of you for your wonderful ideas and help.

The day was beautiful. Sunny :), good because it was at the Crescent Beach club outside. Everything went well except for my hair stylist not showing up to do my hair Needless to say I was a bit upset and freaking out. My make-up was done by Jade Kessel and all I can say it an angel sent her to me that day. She was already at the club set up when I arrived to get ready at the club. My make-up looked fabulous. The hair stlyist was supposed to be there @ 8:30 and was still not there at 9:30 I began to realize he may not be coming and I needed to find another option. Problem, most salons are closed on sundays including his. I had no way of getting in touch with him. Word of advise get a contract from your hair person! I failed to do so. After my make was finished Jade offered toplay around with my hair because she also had done hair in the past but her main focus lately has been bridal make-up. She did a beautiful job., My hair looked even better than in my trial with the other person. Do not use Roy at Spa Salon. Someone on this recommended Ciro out of that salon and he was booked so he referred me to Roy. I called him on my honeymoon to see what happend and the owner of the shop said he was out sick and must of forgot How can you forget a wedding party He had my cell #

Anyway, everything else was beautiful. The food was delicous and every at the Crescent went as planned. Everyone wasd saying it was the best wedding they had ever been too, I thought so

Flowers by Burton: Centerpieces were very nice but my bouquet was not what I had requested. I even supplied a picture. The flowers looked almost ready to die. And they were short one mother corsage which caused a huge problem

Energy Entertainment: DJ Great, everyone was dancing and having a great time. I was worried since it was a daytime wedding.

All Star Limo: Highly recommend them. Very courteous and prompt.

Congrats! The Crescent Beach Club looks like a BEAUTIFUL place. Sorry for the problems with your hair guy - not very professional on his part. Thank God for your make up girl.

Congratulations! Sorry the hairstylist just never showed up. How messed up is that? He should have dragged his sick butt out of bed or had a backup person. Glad everything else worked out.

Hi, so glad things went well. Did you have Father Bob perform your ceremony? If so, how did it go? I loved him. Sorry to hear about Burton's...I used them as well and I had no complaints! CONGRATS!

What were your entree choices for dinner? Did you find it a problem having the bar outside the ballroom? Any other info/suggestions abot the Crescent would be great! We would all love to hear!

Raquel's makeup looked so good because it's AIRBRUSH MAKEUP so it stays on till it is washed off.

I cannot believe ROY! Just so you know Ciro quit that salon. It is not run very well. Roy should be totally ashamed of himself. I will tell Ciro this Sat. and tell him to NEVER recommend that guy again! There is NO excuse for that behavior.

I am about the Burton's review. Did he fix the bouquet? I will see on Saturday at my wedding but I hope they do a better job for me.

I am glad you had a great wedding besides the hair problem!

I finally spoke with Roy last night and he was so sorry. He said he called me three times to confirm that week and I never called him back., I guess he had the wrong number because I never got the messages and had confirmed with him the last time I spoke with him. Anyway, he said he had a problem with a make-up artist he was working with. She was calling his appts and telling them to use someone else and he assumed that she had got to me when I did not call back. I know who the make-up artists is but I will not say. I am over it now, but it was so horrible that day. Roy is a very nice person and I think it was an honest mistake. Just make sure you get a contract and confirm the day before your wedding.

Congratulations! I'm so sorry to hear about your hair woes, but it sounds like it all worked out in the end!!

I'm also sorry to hear about Burton's. Besided the flowers appearing dead, what else did they do wrong with your bouquet?

I spoke with Burtons today and told them that I was unhappy with my bouquet. It was not exactly the shape that I wanted and the white flowers had brown spots. They appologized and said that it was made that morning and it looked great. He offered to make me another one so I can have it preserved. Burtons is very nice and I hope I did not discourage any from using them. Overall my experience with them was good. BM and centerpieced looked beautiful. Best wishes to all

Sorry to hear about the hair dresser!!! At least the rest of the day went well!! Hey if it makes you feel any better....my Matron of honor decided not to show up at all, or call me, NADA...on my wedding day so.....it was kinda embarrasing cause I had her name in the programs, people were asking me what happened & I didn't know what to tell them since I had no idea, she just decided to be a B*tch & not come! So........I'm sure you looked beautiful either way, can't wait to see the pictures!!! COngrats sweetie, may you have a lifetime of love & happiness!

Well, like you said, your makeup girl did a better job than your trial, so, besides the stress it caused, it all turned out better in the end!!!!
My mom always tells me things happen for a reason.
