10/26 wedding review ... (LONG)

i still can't believe it's actually over, but in a way it's a relief! no more planning, no more stress or stupid arguments about who should sit where!!

i have so much to do before we leave for our honeymoon tomorrow, but i had to write a little something...

let me start by saying that everything was beautiful!!! except for one tiny mishap and a *****y guest, our day was PERFECT in every way....the weather, our families, the vendors, it was great...

i can't wait to post pics asap!!!

now for the reviews.....

jericho terrace - the place was beautiful...the only thing wrong with it is that there is more than one wedding going on at once so it gets a little chaotic if you're standing around during the pre-****tail hour time...but the food is absolutely DELICIOUS...my DH and i had a sampler plate of everything served and i couldn't get enough of it!! the service is great and the rooms are beautiful....everyone said it was a perfect wedding!

m & v limo - i'm not too sure about the company, but the drivers were EXCELLENT! they were taking my train on and off whenever i needed it....they had liquor and champagne for all 3 limos, they were an hour EARLY.....they called us sir and ma'am....i can go on and on...the guys were fabulous....but i had spoken to a couple of the guys in charge while planning and they were abit shady....so i guess it's hit or miss with them...they were great for me though!!

astron florists (merrick) - the flowers were beautiful...simple, elegant and the color combos were soooo pretty....everything came on time and the price was excellent!!

lamont gallery - God bless these guys!! the fact that they had the patience to deal with two huge, crazy, loud greek families makes them more than worth the $.... we drove them crazy with wanting to take pictures with this aunt, that cousin, this family, that grandmother, etc...(we really had a big fat greek wedding!!)....i've seen their work before so i know i won't be disappointed....but i will post proofs when i get back from my HM...

charisol bridal (bayside) - this shop was soooo good to me...i walked in 4 months before my wedding and changed the order of my dress to a new eve of milady....they were sooooo calm and supportive....my dress came in 2 months, they took a personal interest in all my alterations....they were wonderful to work with!!

that's it for now ladies....all i can say is that it's so sweet to be married...i will post pics asap!! thanks for all your help and support... i am off to HAWAII!!!!!

Congratulations !! I didn't know there was another greek bride on these message boards...My FH and I are also greek, and i wanted to ask you if you had Powerstation as your band because I was supposed to come to a greek wedding last night at the JT to see Powerstation play. If you did have them as your band, what did you think? I am looking to book them for my wedding in 2004. Who was your singer? thanks for your feedback....Have a great time on your honeymoon!!

june bride, yes i had powerstation....i thought they were good, but not oustanding - i had john papastefanou and eleni livanos singing....we paid almost $5000 for the band/dj though....which i think is a lot of money...you have some time so look around before you book them...
