100-125....small?

I honestly thought that was not small.
I always took pride in the fact that I had a very small group of close freindsand so does the FH
But since I started calling venues it sure has made me feel like crap

Should I be honest with myself and tell my FH that a hall might not be for us or can we really make this work?

Thats what we are looking at guest wise as well, our minimum is 100 people at the Fox Hollow in January.

I don't think its small at all! Some of the halls want higher guarantees for certain rooms, but there are plenty of halls that will accommodate that number!

Try the Fox Hollow- winter garden pavilion room.

My minimum is 110 people on a Friday night, for afternoons I've heard as low as 80. We're estimated 120-130 guests. The Halls can work with you...don't feel bad

Westbury Manor also has a room to accomodate the size wedding you're having. Douglaston Manor, Venetian Yacht Club Lots more but these are the ones I seriously considered.

Absolutly NOT! There's are PLENTY of RHs that will accomodate you. What areas are you looking in...LI or the City? I know the Brentwood Country Club can accomodate lower numbers...

we are looking in nassau and suffolk but not past 97 in suffolk. dont want to go to far east.

considering we are looking to get married in feb or march i thought it would be a little easier

We have a minimum of 100! Most places were willing to give us that, and a few had gave us a minimum of 110, or 125.

Is this for an afternoon or Evening wedding? I know that they usually make the minimums higher for evening weddings, but I know there are places for both!

since we are wanting to have our ceremony at the reception site we cant do westbury manor. they dont do ceremonys on saturday nights
i have so many more to call.
i wont give up !!!!

OMG!!! 100-125 is perfect.. I gauranteed 100.. No shame.. I will probaly end up with 120-130.. you will be able to talk to and thank everyone easier! There are alot of reception halls that are ok with 100.. if im not mistaken my BF is getting married at Fox Hollow the winter garden room in March and she only guaranteed 100.. do a search.. and Im sure the girls here will give you some more..

Hey I am in the same situation...my wedding is not going to be more than 85 people. I am looking to some places that can hold smaller weddings.

Here are some I am planning in the future to visit:

Swan Club
Harbor Club
Stewart Manor CC
Milleridge Carriage House
Coral House

FH threw me for a loop!!
After we got engaged in Nov. he said he didnt want to talk about planning until may. then last week he said i want to marry you next year. lets start looking at places.

we are having a 100 person min at VYC on a Saturday afternoon in May...If I had more family the # would be larger but since I have a smaller fam its mostly friends and FH family.

I dont think its 'small' it will be more intimate and you can actually drop by tables (if you choose to) and see everyone...

BTW...just made 1000 with this post!
