13 yr old flower girl?
My sister just called me and told me that my 13 yr old cousin really wants to be in the wedding. My bridal party is full and I don't want to add another bridesmaid. The only spot I can think of is the flower girl role. She's 13 and I'm afraid it'll look really weird b/c she's so old. What do you think?

Personally, I think 13 is way too old for a flower girl position. If you are having a mass, she could bring up the gifts for communion? Or maybe do a reading with someone else? If you are doing just a simple ceremony, she could be in charge of handing out the wedding programs or bubbles/flowers/things to toss.

She'll have to be a jr bridesmaid. My niece is 12 and a jr bm. If you aren't willing to do that then I think anything the above poster said is good.

I've seen some girls have someone be their 'something blue.' Maybe that could be an option?

Maybe I'm mean... but even for a 13 year old, that's pretty nervy to ask to be in someone's wedding, IMO haha. Unfortunately if you don't have any 'spots' open, then that's it. If anything, maybe she can hand out programs/toss items at the ceremony?

13 yr old flower girl?
2014 bride crashing!! I had a friend who got married this past August. She wanted to include another one of our friends in her wedding party, but had not been on good terms with her when she had set up the bridal party and didnt want an uneven number of BMs to GM. So she asked this other friend to be a 'flower girl'. The friend wore a different dress, along the same color scheme, and dropped petals down the aisle and everything. Personally, I thought it was a bit insulting to the friend that as a 28 year old she was given the job of an 8 year old, but she felt honored. So I guess it's a personal preference. My FG will be 11 when I get married and she's very excited about it.

I think 13 is way too old for a flower girl. I agree with the other posters either make her a jr bridesmaid or give her a special job. My flower girls are 9 and 2.

Crashing- Our flowergirls will be 4 and 2 at the time of the wedding. I wanted to include my cousin in the wedding but she will be 12 at the time so I thought she would look strange having the same 'position' as a 2 & 4 year old so I made her a junior bridesmaid.Welcome New Vendors
