what kind of things do i ask? im so clueless and not into this one bit, but i'm going to burtons after school tomorrow...any help would be great!

I had no idea what to ask either, but Bobbi from Burtons was really great and helpful. Basically, all you need to know is approximately how many boks, corsages, etc., you'll need and about how many guests.
She really does all the rest for you. You won't be picking out any flowers at this meeting or anything, she'll ask you for your general ideas and colors but that's about it.
Good luck! I think Burtons was my easiest vendor to pick out!

I was completely lost when I went, but Mike at Flower Barn took out a sheet and it had everything you need for your wedding listed, bo-ks, centerpieces, church/chupah flowers, boutonnieres etc. and he just asked me how many of each i needed.
I just told him my colors and he basically read my mind as to what flowers I wanted. WHen it came to centerpieces, he showed me two different types and the price difference between the two.
Did you establish a budget??

I would first ask for what you want ideally, and get a number before giving them or any florist your budget. Then from there you can trim down if you have to. I just wouldn't tell them a number first, cuz then you know that's what you're going to end up paying.

I totally agree with this. I don't start out telling any potential vendor what my budget is.

Ask what flowers are in season that you can work with- they are cheaper. Also- if you want candles and petals, ask if they will include that- if you don't they will charge you extra. Good luck on the appointment!
