2 bad makeup trials later, any have any recommendations?

So i've had 2 makeup trials and Ive been unhappy with both. One painted the makeup on and there was so much of it that FH asked if I knew where his fiance was. The second one applied airbrush and it didn't look good. It was flaky and the eyes were too dark and there wasn't enough color on my lips.

So, for my wedding I want someone who is going to make my eyes pop in photos (I want to be able to see that I have eyeshadow on) and who keeps the foundation and mascara light esp. since I don't have much to cover and long lashes already. And I don't want lip gloss, I want some actual color.

I know you have to put makeup on a little bit heavier to appear in photos but if its one thing I don't want is for people on my wedding day to think 'whoah! Look at how much makeup she has on! damn that scary!' lol

Any suggestions?

--M I A is already taken, although some of her bridal assistants are available but I have no references for them.

M*I A 's assistant did my bridal party and mom. I liked Theresa better. If you want to see a pic there is one of me and my MOH in my pro pics album.

I live in valley stream. The one where the makeup was too heavy was salon blue and the flaky one was from the art of makeup - karen W. Also the one from the art of makeup, the makeup didn't last too long. After awhile, especially around the eyes and the eyelids, the makeup began to gather into the creases and pretty soon they were all in the creases! lol And I don't even have that many since I'm only 20!

Try someone who works at MAC. They will definitely be able to help, plus they have many different lip colors and they aren't afraid to experiment.

try Ciara she is a MAC Makeup artist. She is super great and she travels to you. I recommended a trail to two LIW girls and they booked her on the spot. You can check out my trail pics in my albums.

I went on 4 makeup trials that i wasnt happy with until i went to Andrea from ******************* and was so happy that i booked her...fm me if you want her info

I used Oksana and was very happy with her. On my wedding day, she did my makeup and my sisters, then my FMIL and FSIL. My FMIL and FSIL both wanted very light makeup and my sisteres wanted to look beautiful...and she did just that!!! So she should definitely be able to give you what you want.

I used Maria from A Soft Touch by Maria...she was amazing and very reasonable! fm for her info...she did exactly what you are looking for.
