2 Gowns

Is anyone having 2 gowns for there wedding day?? Like one for the ceromony and one for the reception?? Is that too over the top to do??

Definitely not too over the top but for the reception i would wear more of a destination style wedding gown and not a big formal church style wedding gown.

I don't think it is over the top at all, I think it is just your personal preference. If you think you would be more comfortable in another gown for the reception then go for it!

Definitely not over the top. Sounds like a great idea!! I think I will stay in one dress. I've tried on a few already and the process of getting in and out of one is enough for me for one day lol...

It's what you want. I don't think there is anything wrong with it.

I'm just having one, but if you want to have two then why not. I've heard of girls having two before, it's a personal preference.

I am only wearing one dress. I only want to wear my dress and that's it!

I've seen lots of brides on Whose Wedding, Rich Bride Poor Bride, etc. have two gowns. If you want to do it, go for it.

I am sticking with one. I'm paying alot for that dress, and I can only wear it once, so I will wear it for as long as I can lol.

Me and FH are thinking about changing into traditional Nigerian Attire later in the evening after we cut the cake, but otherwise I really LOVE my dress and I want to stay in it as Long as possible.

i'm thinking of wearing another dress for our first dance bcuz i would REALLY like to do something fun and different for the dance and my wedding dress is SOOOO heavy i know i wont be able to move in it. so what im thinking right now is to wear a nice dress for the dance and then change back into my wedding gown for the rest of the night (or until i cant hold it anymore) lol

I have 2 and they're very different. My main gown is big and pretty heavy and my 2nd one is a cute party dress for dancing. Pics in my album.

I dont know if I am going to do it but I have heard that it is very common nowadays. Its your wedding - if you want to then you should - no it is not over the top.

I think it is alittle. I look at it like this, I am spending over 1,000 on a dress to only wear for one day so I am wearing it ALLLL day long to get my money worth.
