for # 1: i would write it like this:
Mr. First Name Last Name
Ms. First Name Last Name
i would put the man first, if you are friends with both

for #2: i would do the same as #1, regardless if they live together

Re: 2 invite questions

For 1, are they in a relationship? If so, then I would put Mr. ___ and Ms. ___. I did the same for 2, because if I know the name, why would I address it as 'guest'?

Re: 2 invite questions

I did separate lines for the first one. I put the name of the person that we knew first or better.

For the second one - I didn't have inner envelopes so I put both names on the outside. Same like the first one. If they were in a relationship and we knew the other person we put their name.

If they're living together and you're inviting both, I would put it as:

Ms. Sara Smith &
Mr. John Jones
Address

If they're not living together, I would send to the friend you know. On the front of the invite, I would just address it to the friend. On the inside, I would put both names.

I had a few friends whose bfs first names i knew, so on the inner envelope I just wrote:

Ms. Sara Smith & John

without the last name. People don't really care how you put it but it's important they know they can bring their S.O.

Put one name on top of the other with the & sign between them. Put the person you are closer friends with first. If you are equal friends with both of them then tradition dictates that they each get their own invitation.

2.if u r sending an address to a good friend and she is bringing her bf,but u r sending the invite to her..does his name go on the outer envelope..he does not live with her but i know him so he cant be'guest'

I would put his name on the inner envelope if you have one and just have hers on the outer envelope. If not then address the outer envelope similarly to the couple that lives together.

Re: 2 invite questions

I went to Martha stewart weddings.com and she has the ettiquette for every situation. I think the woman's name is listed on top and the man underneath. If they aren't married you don't write
'and' because 'and' implies marrage.

#1

i'd put
ms. __
mr.__
(no & unless they are engaged) and i'd put whoever i was friends with on the top, if i know them both, i'd still put the girls name first.

#2

yes, i'd do the same as #1 basically. ( i didn't have two envelopes, so you might want advice from someone who actually had to deal with this.

isn't it amazing how many issues come up from invites?!? there really need a 'scream' emoticon!

HTH!
