2 month mark & rehearsal dinner

Today is our 2 month mark!!! I can't believe it's only 2 more months to our wedding!!!!

beginning to panick a little because i feel like there are a ton of things that still haven't gotten done yet.

what are the big things that i should have done now?

does anyone know any good places for having rehearsal dinners in the roslyn/mineola/garden city area?

Check out the 7th Street Cafe in Garden City for your RD. I had my shower there and it was amazing!
Also in GC there's Waterzooi & Novita.

Hi Date Twin! I can't believe our date is 2 months away. I just mailed my invites today (maybe u saw my post office rant on '08).

I just posted something about the RD too.
I guess we're both on the same schedule!

I hate to say it, but at this point we should probably have ALL of the big things done....haha, I am clearly not there yet. I still have to find someone to marry us!

don't worry because i'm still waiting on the officiant too. we asked our pastor and we're waiting for our pastor's reply because fh isn't of the same religion.

i'm stressing over the program, seating chart and placecards now... i know i can't do the seating chart and placecards until the last minute pretty much but i guess i'm trying to find a good template and haven't found any =P

that and putting together the schedule and putting together a slideshow haahha i'm so behind!!!

has anyone had their RD at Minado? i like the buffet idea because people can eat whatever they like... but i also want the bridal party to be able to get dressed up... and they won't be able to get dressed up probably at minado... at least it'll look funny lining up for sushi in an elegant dress

i love minado! so yummy!

i have a friend who got married at city hall and didn't have a formal reception. He instead had about 100..i think over 100 people there for lunch. He was in a suit and everything. It was great!

First take a breath.............then

All your vendors booked? (im sure they are)
All your DIY or personalized touches complete?
Draw up a contact list for your MOH of vendors and important people-FILs, BP etc.
Start to chill out.........relax and really take it in now.
The next 2 months will fly by before you know it.

thanks everyone for their help!!

we've booked all our vendors but i'm unsure actually of our DJ and keyboardist for our ceremony. we booked with In the Mix but i felt that they kept trying to squeeze more money out of our contract everytime i asked them something... we got our keyboardist from jericho terrace who recommended him but i've never heard him play though...

i started on the DIY and still gotta work on the programs, menus, favor tags, slideshow and seating chart i guess they're kind of adding up...

i didn't do a vendor list but have been using weddingwire.com to keep track of them. they seem to have a pretty comprehensive list which i can just print out. so think am good on that...

looks like i gotta get cracking on the DIY... i've been having some trouble though with finding a good program. just installed Publisher so hope it'll help~

edit: ooo and still gotta do table numbers!!! eeeek
