I grew up in Pennsylvania, and that is where my parents live now. My Mom thinks I should have two showers - one in PA for the guests that can't travel to NY, and one in NY. Is this normal? Who pays for the showers??

I will be having two showers. 1 in NY and 1 in Illinois. I was born and raised here, but did live in Illinois for about 2 years. My mom lives there now and the majority of my family is there and most likely won't come out here for the wedding, so we'll be having a shower there. My mom will pay for it.

I am having 2 as well.. family and mom's friends are in MD.. having a lowkey one there at my parents house and a bigger one here at the george washinton manor!

i had two--- i'm in illinois (chicago) and my aunts threw me one here.
my mom and my sister threw one for me in new york, where i was born and raised, and where they are now...

I think its the best idea, Id feel bad for your guests if they had to travel so far for one. I dont know who lives in each place, but my parents paid of my shower.

I'm having 2 also. I had one already for family in South Carolina. My other shower will be sometime next year for my New York family and friends.

I had two engagement parties - one on Long Island and one Upstate - and I know my Mom and FMIL are already coordinating the two showers!! It just makes it easier for everyone who wants to be involved!!

I actually had 3 shower. One in PA hosted by my mom for my family there. MIL gave me on in NY for her family and my friends that are still in NY. Then my MOH came out to CO and did a small shower/bacehlorette party with my friends out here.

That is what my cousin did, his family is in SC and her family is in NY so they had 2 showers and 2 engagement parties
