Re: 20% NO...is that really true
I think it depends on a lot of factors. In my culture, there are almost NO no's, that's just the way it is. A friend got married at West Point, invited 300 people to this out of town wedding, and only got 7 No's. It just depends on your family. Another big factor?? Time of year. Summer vacation is over by the time your wedding happens, so people are back from their vacations and ready to attend your wedding!

I was actually at a 40% NO rate. They weren't OOT either. The OOT were Yes!

Re: 20% NO...is that really true
We had more than 20%, but a lot of it was the & Guests. A lot of people didn't bring a guest, and a bunch of my co workers didn't come. Other than that it was only the people we expected wouldn't come.

you are right when u said that it depends on factors like culture , family. In my culture there is almost no NO's and it does not matter the time of the year.
I dont understand why people get stressed when guests decline, it's less money that they will have to spend. The true friends will always be there so....

Same here. I thought that we were going to be way over our minimum and we ended up being under. I was freaking out!!! Our hall worked with us though so I was really happy about that.
