The dress looks beautiful! Congrats...
Has anyone booked vendors other than the hall?
I am now in the discussion with photo&video as well as the musician vendor. I hope to book them by the end of this months... So much to do ... and so much time

Re: 2005 Brides.....
Aside from our hall, we reserved our church and booked our photo./video...we are using Duet...I highly recommend you check them out. IMO, their work is beautiful and at a very reasonable price. Good Luck!!

Re: 2005 Brides.....
Congrats on finding the dress of your dreams Rachel - it's beautiful! I, myself, am debating on what to do about my wedding dress. I fell in love with the picture of this Maggie dress on Bridesave.com. Through the end of September, they're having a sale - an additional 10% off any Maggie dress, so I'm thinking about getting it, but I'm not sure what to do. I've heard lots of people say they've had good experiences with Bridesave, so I'm not worried about that. But I've recently lost 70 lbs. and still have about 50 more to go. I don't want to miss out the great deal, but I have no idea what size to get. I think I'm going to go out and try to find the dress and try it on before the month is out, and then decide. Any input? Here's the dress (thinking about making the jacket into a pocketbook):

Re: 2005 Brides.....
I think we have a few new girls - i havent been keeping track though - tough with school now -
On a side note - FH and I are really close to choosing a band. It comes down to the money - the two bands we were choosing between had over $1K difference between them. FH brother has a friend that can get us a deal bec he plays with the band we are probably booking - so by monday we should know for sure - and i will officially have my first vendor booked. YAY!

Re: 2005 Brides.....
YAY! Keep us posted Attica! We FINALLY decided on our vendor budget. My parents were kind enough to pay for the reception, well, the money should have covered the whole wedding had we not fallen inlove with the most expensive place we looked at, so we had to finally sit down, and MAN, HE HAS NO CLUE WHAT A WEDDING COSTS! He was like, how about 2 thousand? I think we can swing that. HEEEEELLLLLLOOOOO?!?!?! He's such a weenie sometimes. I was like, if we can't swing that in the next month, there's a problem and I want to knwo where our money is going (I say this because we have paid our rent for the rest of the year with a small excess in his student loan, and we will be living free of charge with my parents. There's NO excuses for not saving a crap load of money by the time we get married! Granted, a lot will be for a house.) Stupid boys.

Re: 2005 Brides.....
FH is the one that realizes how expensive everything is - I on the other hand just fall in love with the expensive things! FH is too cute - he constantly says he wants to make me happy and do what makes me happy -but paying over $5K for a band just isnt reasonable right now - especially since we are looking to buy a coop before we get married and we have chosen and insanely expensive place to go on our honeymoon (Bora Bora) -
FH is such a saver - I save money too - but fall in love with very expensive things - (Coats, shoes, wallets etc) - so the money i do save disappears quickly when i make thses expensive purchases - I need to curb those for now
