Just curious who is getting married in 05, since I was the only one for a long time! It seems there's more and more lately!

i get the same thing too. especially from my mom and fmil. i'm like if you want me to get married sooner give me the money. it's so hard, everything is so expensive.

OMG - I totally get the same thing - Now that I am back to school my friends are asking how plannign is going and I tell them teh date - and they just act so surprised and say oh wow tha tis far away - NO IT IS NOT!!!! Jan 2005 - is a year a 4 months or soo - no far at all!!! It is very upsetting because it is bad enough that I feel it is far away!
Oh, but on a side not - I have 498 days and 13 hours until the big day!!! I am so happy it is no longer a 500 number - it is creeping closer!!

I just wanted to say that I just got engaged and the first thing everyone asked us is if we set a date.. and we finally did. So I will be a 05 bride as well. July 9th, 2005. I am very excited and see that a lot of you have started to plan and book places, that is what I have to start doing.. any suggestions?

i know we all hate to say that we are getting married in 2005, but last night i met a couple who was booking a band for 2006. i didnt feel so bad anymore.

Just wanted to say WELCOME AND CONGRATS! to all the new 05 brides! Just think girls, in a couple of months, we can all say, 'Oh, we're getting married next year.' And do away with all the, 'Why are you waiting so long?' questions! PS-I'm getting my dress soon (most likely next weekend ) Yes, I know, I know. So early. I love it though. I'll show a picture, but it does no justice to it. I'll post a picture of me in it on Saturday (barring any natural disasters, of course ).
princssrachel... i cant belive you are looking for dresses already? i was thinking of waiting until january. do you think i should start looking now? im dying to start, i just think its too early. by the way i love the dress you picked out. its so pretty. did you book any vendors yet? we have one year and 10 months to go ( its better than saying 2 years)

Oh my dear, I'm getting married the same day as you! Here's the thing. I just went to get an idea of what I like, and well, low and behold, I found my dress. I can't help it, I FELL IN LOVE! And I think you are smart to wait. I mean, who was I kidding, trying on dresses just to get an idea? It figures I fell in love with something! I haven't booked any vendors yet, think I should get my priorities straight?

you still have time. belive me. nobody was really booked up. we finished booking all of our vendors this week. its such a relief, but now im jealous. i want to go dress shopping i cant wait until i begin that search. where did you find the dress?

Believe it or not, David's Bridal. I did all the searching in MA where they were SOOOOOOOOOOO incredibly nice. I've yet to be to the one in NY, but I'm going Saturday, so we'll see. I was not expecting to find a dress there, which is why I thought I woudl just get an idea there. ANd then, when I went to a regular bridal salon, nothing even compared to this dress that I found. So i've compared which is good. It's not like I just tried on one.
