2006 Brides!!!

Okay, when are you getting married and what have you done so far?

I am getting amrried June 29, 2006, all we have done is booked the church and hall. Not sure what to do next?!?!

I am afraid of getting ahead of myself and making a choice on something then changing my mind 100 times!

Hi. I'm getting married on your 1 month anniversary. My suggestion to you is to do your research on your vendors, that way you won't have to second guess any of your choices. Good Luck with everything.

I know exactly how you feel finally we booked our place and nothing else so far. i am anxious but also i dont want to change my mind a hundred times either. i spoke to some and also got quotes for DJ', florists, photographers, and videographers just from the vendors helping brides board i think i have a better idea of who i am going to look at by doing this so it is not so over whelming. these boards help alot.

As some may know I just booked on Sat nite so, Im not rushing just yet either.

I just figured I would start asking the girls(who pretty much know already who are in) who I would like in my bridal party. Anyone know of anything fun and creative on asking?

Im sure we will all be getting to know each other better as time goes by.
I know I will be asking lots of questions!

Hey all! My date is June 10th 2006 and like many of you just booked the hall. Well back in august but still fairly recently. This weekend we are actually meeting w/ FI's minister down in Virginia where FI is from. So thats our next big step. My goal is to have DJ and photographer booked before January (when prices go up) Just doing my research until then. Congratulations everyone!!!

hi everyone!!!
i am a 2006 bride too!!!! as most people have told me already i have a lot done!!!! our date is 7/7/06 at glen island harbor club. we also have our video, photographer, band and limos booked. we already knew who we were booking so we figured we should just book so we get this years prices and we don't lose the date!!!! that is all we have done so far. what about everyone else? when are you all going to look for your gown? i can't wait to do that!!!

we haven't booked anything yet, but we're aiming for the church and hall by the end of the month (if FH would stop working overtime!!!!). we're looking at a September date probably.

our date is August 4, 2006 at the Stewart Manor Country Club. Our church is also booked, St. Christophers, and this week we booked our photo/video - de ja vu and limo's -royalty. whew we did a lot this week, but to me its worth it.

Hello 2006 brides...I am getting married March 31, 2006 at St. James Church in Seaford & our reception is being held at The Floral Terrace. So far that is all that is booked...We know who we are using for Pictures & Videography but haven't had a chance to get there...We are going on vacation next week, so when we get back, we are going to book with them...We are also going to be using Pedestals but haven't booked yet....We have really done lots of research on vendors, but haven't had the chance to book...My goal is to have everything done by January!

I can't believe there are so many of us on here!

Hey there all...we've just booked the hall, but I think we're going to our first band showcase tomorrow night (Code Bleu). I'd like to have the band and photographer booked by the end of November...then it's on to dress shopping!

I have booked hall and DJ so far. Looking at photographers now. Can't wait till we get our own board!!!!! Yeah 06 gals!!!

I feel like everyone is so ahead of me.
Is is true that the prices get increased after Jan? As in the vendors? I thought it was the halls that do that.
Either way, I think I have to wait a bit.
Before you know it, its the holidays.

Prices go up with every vendor you are planning on using when the new year begins...Example, when I booked the hall I got 2005 pricing but if I waited until January, they would give me 2006 pricing...SO it is best to do all the booking in 2004....

It did not come in yet, I should have it by the end of the year, I will just have it preserved, so it will be good in 2006. I just had to get this dress I saw and it's the type of dress that will still be in style by then. I'm fast right.

ohhh you dont need to get it preserved it takes years for the gown to turn yellow.... the place where you bought it from will not keep it in storage??? if not just put a garment bag over the gown and stuff it with acid free tissue paper. do not put it any where damp, humid or in sunlight...
anyway you worked really fast on your gown.....

Hi! I am August 20, 2006. We booked the hall and I got my dress. For the most part I have just been researching. We are paying for the whole thing ourselves, so I figure it will take that much time to find vendors that are inexpensive that I like. Just getting ideas. I don't want to be stressed, so I figured I would decide on the easy details ahead of time.
