Hi Everyone! My fiance and I have a wedding budget of $12,000. (This would be for the ceremony and reception.) We want to do this on Long Island for about 85 people. We're completely flexible with the day of week (ie. a Sunday brunch wedding instead of Sat. night) but wanted to know - anyone know of an all-inclusive venue on Long Island that is nice but budget-friendly? Any idea is SO appreciated! Thanks SO much!

i think you can def do something maybe on a sunday afternoon - there are lots of nice places in LI that have really nice views - something that you can really take advantage of during a day time wedding....im not to familiar with prices of places but im sure there are other girls who can help you with that - id look into places maybe on the water? or with lots of windows? or something with a nice garden? or by the beach?

Future Mulligan - We were looking at 12/5/09 because 12/5 was our first date! I see that's your wedding date. :) Did you get good deals breaks because it was winter?

My sister got married at med. manor and they had something that included everything, flowers, limo, pictures ect. It was a very nice wedding.
I am using burton for flowers they are the best priced i have seen. Fm is priced well as well for dj.
Winter is always cheaper and so is weddings during the day.

i think we got a bit of a break with the price but not that much - the closer you are to christmas or new years the cheaper it gets - jan and feb are cheaper than december - and so is the weekend of thanksgiving in november - we stuck with the date because we wanted to be close to christmas but without being to close to xmas and nye - for us it landed on a friday so that is where we saved the most money - but december is generally cheaper than say may - sept but still not as cheap as jan - mar....believe it or not people do want to get married around the holidays which drives up the price and you have holiday parties to also compete with - but you can def get a better deal that weekend than other times of the year
