Are any Venetian girls doing uplighting in the main room? If so, what colors?

'09er crashing....
Great choice! I just had my wedding there 11/7/09....large downstairs room for CH and upstairs room for reception.
We got rave reviews on the location, the food and the service. And the cake too!
You will NOT be disappointed!
FM me if you have any questions.
Happy planning!

Are you girls taking pics somewhere between your ceremony and reception? If so, where?

We're going to Robert Moses! I'm excited, I wanted some ocean pics!
I think we're also hitting up the pier beforehand for some extended family shots.
And whoever above asked if the CH room downstairs is too small, Randy said the room itself fits about 180, and then outside on the patio they can put up a tent for like 30-40 more peeps so you should be TOTALLY ok!
I am going this weekend to drop off a payment, hopefully there is a wedding going on so I can spy!

Hey, do you know how long it takes to get from Robert Moses to VYC, and do you need a permit? FH and I are also still looking for places to take pics!

Thanks for the info about the tent....is that for an extra fee?
and I am using uplighting....prob. an amber color..but not sure yet!
I dont know why I am so worried all of a sudden that the rooms are just toooooo small. If I have 180 ppl there...i dont want the downstairs rooms to be too crowded.
Has anyone been to/or had a wedding reception in the downstairs room with 170-180 guests there? How was it????

I'm a VYC bride too! 9/6/10
Was a little upset bc they told me I'd be the only one using the venue that day, but then found out couple of days ago that there is a bar mitzvah that ends 30 minutes after our ceremony begins. It's a 30 min clash...really praying they don't go over!
Wasn't sure whether to have the ceremony outdoors or indoors...if indoors, our option for the upstairs is thrown out the window.
Have you girls decided where you will be having your ceremony? Congrats to all! :)

I ave 175 guests and I was worried about going over, not having considered the +1 option...:( but I read up the specs of the place and they say they can fit up to 550. Whether it's standing or sit down, not sure..but I think it should be okay for us! :)

Re: 2010 Venetian Yacht Club Brides
We just had our wedding here at VYC and it was great! The ambience was beautiful and all of our guests kept asking us how we found the location. Our guests got there a little earlier than expected, but they provided them with drinks and to hang out on the terrace. They even opened cocktail hour alil earlier for our guests, they are really accommodating and Daisy is no longer at that location, but now at the sister location, I believe crestwood manor. But she IS the best!!! She was so sweet and helpful with many things, she even helped us when we needed things for our engagement photo shoot. Very sweet!
I had to speak with Randy twice when Daisy wasn't there and I felt that he was always trying to rush us and i felt only like a machine to pass on the money. Maybe caught him on a bad day, twice? Other than that it was great!
