Thought I would make a thread just for us ... even if we are few and far between! Our 2010 brides will soon start getting married! Anyone going to any of their set ups? Im actually going to one in May if I am not mistaken to see what our venue will look like on our wedding day

De Seversky will give you direction cards to include in your invitations. I was worried about the whole address thing being an issue but TRUST ME it will be quite allright!!!!!!!!!!!! Everybody made it, nobody got lost!

Just ask them for their direction cards with map. Melissa sent them and I had them the next day

With 24 days to go, the menu is done, the vendors are all in place and the only stressor is possibly having to move the ceremony from the terrace room to the glass garden room. I really prefer the first but it would be a very tight fit.

MyBaby, did you print a picture of the blue sign to spot for or write something like, 'if you see Glen Cove Road, you've gone too far'? I am considering doing that on our website.
Is anyone going to the tasting in March?

No, at first I said that the entrance is across the road from the de matteis center with the address of the de matteis included but thank GOD FH and I tested it out on Navigation.
For some reason, it was taking us no where near de seversky
we just used the directions on the de seversky site and am hoping for the best

Hey Ladies!
I am a 2011 De Seversky Bride (August 20th!). I tried to post this question to this thread...but I think I posted to the wrong one!
So, my b if you are reading this twice, I'm still a newbie to this site!
For those of you who have done, or are doing the European style reception, how are you doing your wedding party introductions? Will you do them before, or after dinner since the dancing is in a separate room?
Any ideas would be great, thanks!

Hey there...I am a 2011 bride as well. I'm getting married in October. We are doing European style. I thought it was unique and fun. I'm worried that my guests will be confused though, so still thinking about how we will communicate.
I am thinking of doing intros, speeches, and 1st dance in the dining room before/during dinner. Then the real dancing will take place in the atrium. We are getting a small band for ceremony/cocktail hour/dinner, and then a DJ for the atrium room.
Have you gone to a tasting yet?

I wish! My fiance and I live in Virginia (I'm from Long Island, so that's why we're having the wedding there). Being so far away, we can't get off from work for a few days to get to a Wednesday tasting. So my parents are going to go instead!
Have you been? I'm not too worried because I have heard nothing but good things about the food there.

Hi everyone! I am a 2011 de Seversky bride (July) and with my wedding right around the corner I'm starting to worry because I haven't booked a room for the night of the wedding. I was just wondering where everyone else was planning on staying. Any reccomendations would be great!

We've done a block of rooms at the Marriott in Uniondale. It's kind of a central location to the de Seversky and the church where were are having the ceremony.
They have been nothing but nice and helpful so far! Very happy with the decision.

Hi girls,
We are just signing our contracts now for the de seversky mansion. I havent done much else in relation to vendors. Since this is a 2011 forum I wanted hear what some of the brides have to say about their weddings and experiences at the mansion.
