I know there is a separate Honeymoon Thread but I don't see many postings. I thought i'd start one here for us 2011 gals!
Anyone already thinking about honeymoon destinations?? Please post your thoughts!
We are thinking Mexico--either Puerto Vallarta or Cabo San Lucas.
Hope everyone is having an awesome day. I'm praying for a snow day tomorrow (work in a school).

We've thought of places but haven't booked anything - St. Lucia, Jamaica and Antigua are our top 3 places!!!

We are going to Couples Swept Away in Begril, Jamaica (LOVE IT THERE!). We've both vacationed there before and we figure for our HM that we want to go someplace that we know we can relax and have a good time and we know what we're in for.
We are definitely doing some upgrades though (beachfront suite, staying a few extra nights, do some more excursions).

We are going to Couples Swept Away in Begril, Jamaica (LOVE IT THERE!). We've both vacationed there before and we figure for our HM that we want to go someplace that we know we can relax and have a good time and we know what we're in for.
We are definitely doing some upgrades though (beachfront suite, staying a few extra nights, do some more excursions).
my best friend is honeymooning there in december! she'll be happy to hear a good review about it

Haven't booked anything but we're getting Married in November; and i REALLY want to go to Europe the following spring; so we'll probably do a long weekend in Mexico and then save up for the big trip later the next year!

definitely tell her she will not be dissapointed... the place is amazing! We would have went again this past Nov but we are saving for the wedding. And Dec is a great time to go because the prices are great and the weather was so nice!

FH and I were thinking Turks and Cacos too but a couple of people told me it's SOOOOO in the middle of nowhere there isn't much to do!!! It's a little too remote I guess - but i think it depends on what you are looking for.

We're thinking trans-atlantic cruise...maybe start with a week in Germany and then cruise from there back to NY. If that doesn't work out hopefully somewhere warm and tropical where we can dive. I want to see another shark!

Really torn about this all..
I want Bora Bora really bad.. but FH says he'd rather wait till later in life when we have more money to afford a $10K honeymoon
So we're between a Sandals resort on either St Lucia or in the Bahamas
To throw another wrench in there, we won a free honeymoon to St Kitts at a bridal show.. but it expires at the end of 2010 we found out and we're getting married in 2011!! So we have to either work something out with them or take it as a vacation this year.. so dumb

We are looking into taking a 7 day Mexican Riviera cruise out of San Diego the day after our wedding. We'll already be there and neither FH or I have ever taken one.

We're going to Marbella, Spain. A family friend of FH has a condo out there and they're letting us use it for 2 weeks for our Honeymoon!!
It's really awesome!! It's on the beach and you can see Africa from our room!!
We def saved A LOT of money with this wonderful gesture!!!

We are probably going to do a Caribbean cruise from NY. FH doesn't fly so our options are limited. But he cruises! (thank goodness!) - we found a 12 night one from Royal Caribbean, just waiting to see if we can get that much time off of work before we book it!
