2011 SHOWER UPDATE
I don't want to give too many specifics until we've got things more set in stone, but here's what I can tell you.
We have a venue. We will get salad, punch, soda, wine, 3 entree choices and cake for $37pp including gratuity and including $1 per person for misc costs (eg, decorations, etc) so that's $37 total per person
The date will be 11/14, a Sunday, at 1pm. Not sure yet if it will go til 4 or 5pm.
Vanessa: I'm sorry I didn't touch base with you personally, I def should have, I apologize, but Nicole will fill you in if she hasn't already. Thank you for handling PayPal for us.
The seats will be a first come, first served basis with about 50 seats available and there will be a waiting list.
We will be keeping things simple as far as a theme (Sorry SATC girls) and will probably be going with plain old color scheme to keep costs down and the lunacy of planning a big party for a bunch of crazy girls to a minimum.
We have secured favors.
I will be asking specific people to do some specific tasks for us, but in addition to that, if anyone would like to take initiative and make some phone calls about securing prizes or other giveaways, that would be great. Just communicate so we're not haunting the vendors with 100 phone calls from different girls about the same things. So if you're gonna call vendors, please post it somewhere BEFORE you do it.
I also don't want to give too many details away about the planning so the party can have some air of mystery until the day of, cause I think it'll be more fun if most of the guests don't see all the puppet strings, so to speak.
If anyone has any hookups with ANYTHING you think might be funuseful/appropriate for the shower, please let me know.
