Original post by Pretty_In_Pink

Hey gals, So I decided to start this thread just so we can help each other out, or whatever. lol
I am in the Garden room and my ceremony will be in the grassy knoll area.
My theme color is pink, ivory and gold, im trying to go with a victorian style. The colors will be very muted.

Where will your Ceremony be?
And the reception room?
What is your theme?

I'm going to look at WM this weekend but I'm a little concerned bc I've heard that there is only one bathroom for both parties that they hold there and that it's not separate so you would see guests and share bathrooms with guests from the other party. Is that how the set up is there or is it separate? Also... How come they do not have Saturday night ceremonies there? I was wondering about that bc I really want a Saturday night ceremony

I have a Saturday night ceremony! It's at 8PM though and it's outside if weather is good.
There is just the one bathroom. I know because someone in our family said something about that Like the other girls said, I think the parties are staggered enough, and if there were big problems with that you'd hear more complaints on here.
What did they tell you about Sat. night ceremonies? They told me that either room we booked we would be able to have the ceremony there.

That is so bizarre- they said they don't do saturday night ceremonies when i called! maybe they meant in the summer? b/c I'm looking @ June.

If I was you I would called back because I'm getting married July evening. Maybe the day you picked is booked for that evening.

Hey ladies, I'm new to the site and am seriously thinking about WM for my wedding. We're looking at April 2013. Sunday wedding . Can anyone help with pricing before I go and see it and fall in love with something my FH and I can't afford. Lol thank u!

For Friday night or Saturday day in March 2013, we were quoted 57-65 per person (I believe)... Because the rooms we wanted were already booked for March 2013, we ended up with a February date and they dropped the price a bit for us. Because you are looking at a Sunday in April, I feel that it would most likely be comparable - I would definitely look to book soon though, they seemed to be filling up quick. We booked November/December and had difficulty getting the Library/Conservatory for cocktail hour. Hopefully Sundays will not be as full!

I booked with Westbury Manor for april 7th, 2013!!! im super excited. now going crazy with finding good vendors and planning!!

Is anyone using any of Westbury Manors prefered vendors?

Im in the manor room for a sunday day wedding. ceremony and cocktail hour weather praying is good is going to be outside.

any other fellow brides doing a day wedding?
any good themes?

I wanted a twlight wedding on a sunday but they told us on sundays the only time they do ceremonys is at 12pm it turned out alittle cheaper anyway doing it during the day but it is possible that they are correct by telling u they cant do a night ceremony. Also ian our bm told us that if there is already one ceremony there in the morning they dont typical do another one at night which i thought was strange. i guess they dont want people to run into eachother.

You have to be careful bc the tables r long but not wide so if your centerpiece is too wide then flowers will land in your plates. I am alternating lows and highs. My lows are just rose petals w 5 hurricane candles and small votives and my highs are on chrystal stands.

Hth

i wasnt even thinking about centerpieces sizes and the tables. i really wanted to do a romantic spring feel with white birdcages, candels, and some flowers. does anyone think that an round bottom birdcage would not be good on WM's tables?

i might have to think over my centerpiece concept idea again :( any ideas?

I think you can do white birdcages, although i would buy one and stop by there and see if it fits with the table set. Worse can you can do 2 smaller cages and use the flowers and candles as a table scape. The tables are very narrow so be careful esp if you are going to have favors on the tables as well. HTH!
