2014 Brides 'Official Weight Loss & Keep It Off' Thread

Original post by Soon2BeMrsMango

Hi Ladies. I know some of us talked about having an official weight loss thread, so here it is. I think we should start by introducing ourselves, how much we want to lose, how we plan to do it, etc.

I guess I'll start.

I'm Kristin, 25. I am a Weight Watchers Lifetime member, I lost 30 lbs last year. I've gained about 10 back & want to get them off ASAP before I gain it all back like I have in the past. The winter is the hardest time for me to stay on track. My true issue with weight loss is exercise. I HATE IT!! I can never get into it & that is my goal this year. To lose the weight & get toned. My overall goal is to lose 10 lbs & feel comfortable in a bikini. I haven't worn one since high school.

I think each week we should post our weight loss/gain & what we are doing to stay active.

We can do this ladies with the support of each other!

You look amazing in your shower pics! It happens! I just had a little bout of that myself I finally pulled myself together to get back on track. You've come so far and made a lot of progress don't get down on yourself about a slip up. Use your dress being big as motivation to get back on track aim for that size 10! You got this!

So little progress report, I am down another .4lbs and my pants are too big so I only have 3 pants that actually fit the rest are baggy on my when they used to be tight. I also fit back into a lot of my medium tops again. Still have a long way to go but making progress. Also working out has been hit or miss lately cause I am having terrible shin spints from training for a 5k in 3 wks and now nervous they won't heal in time. So no more running until the race which makes me even more nervous. I plan to just to some weights tonights. Don't have a stationary bike, elliptical or pool that I have access to keep cardio up low impact so not sure what I can do for that.

Some how lost another pound. Don't know how since eating wasn't perfect and I was unable to work out due to resting from horrible shin splints. So this week is fh birthday and I am going to do my best to eat as best as possible no easter candy and trying to limit the left over desserts and back to working out.

So little update I have lost another 2lbs I'm down 12lbs since January now. Ideally I would love to lose 36 more lbs but with 5 months to go I really don't see that happening. If I lose 15 more I will be extremely happy. This week is my birthday and we have some dinner plans with family so I am not going to beat myself up over not eating right this week I will have my cake and eat it to this week. But next week back to business and back to regular work outs. I'm resting this week due to still being really sore from the 5k Saturday.

Thank you SO much! I really appreciate it! And I'm overjoyed to share that I hit that 30lb goal! So happy! I told kleinfelds I'd lose 30 back in Oct when I ordered the dress. Cannot believe 2.5 weeks before my first fitting I've hit my goal! Still hoping to lose another 10 before my wedding day (and HONEYMOON) but I'm so proud I did what I said I would do 6 months ago! :)

Added an updated before and after to my Progress album!!

Definitely a great motivator this thread. I am definitely on of those people that I need someone or something to hold me accountable this helps me with that.

I am hoping back on this bandwagon!! I cannot diet/ lose weight for the life of me. I just signed up for Weight Watchers and I am 100% committing to this I have 4 months until my first fitting and hoping to lose about 15 lbs 20 maximum but 15 would be amazing! It's great to see everyone's success!!!

I have to get back on the bandwagon also. We have 5 months until my wedding and I would like to lose atleast 10 pounds. My weaknesses are starbucks lattes and mixed drinks, sugar, half and half, & beer! I am hoping I can slowly make better choices each day and try to work out 3-4 times a week!

As the warm weather kicked in I have been so bad with beer, wine. We can do this! It all starts with little changes.

I am thinking about tracking my calories with the lose it app again and trying to make small changes throughout each day including exercise

That is awesome! Keep it up girl! I am always so bad in AC the food the drinks so that is amazing.

So bday weekend is over and I jumped right back on the horse cause I gained 2lbs back and felt so bloated and disgusting. So right back to work getting those 2lbs off. Got back to working out again even though my foot still hasn't healed from the 5k (xrays saturday) My body is sore today from yesterdays workout.

So inspiring! Between losing weight with a trip to AC (I eat SO much when i go down to AC lolol) and running 5ks, I'm impressed with both of you!

I managed to lose another lb so I'm at 31lbs! Still kind of holding out hope i can drop another 4 by next friday (my first dress fitting!!) but I'm ready to get that dress on either way!
