I love this!!! Staying fit and active is great and who doesn't want to look their absolute best for their wedding day!!!I am Seva Mahramas 23 years old. I have struggled with weight constantly especially through college, gaining way over the freshman 15. When I first realized I needed to lose the weight I began exercising and dieting which is still hard being away at school and with temptations and stress especially of studying.
I am a year out of college and since last August I have been dedicated to loosing the rest of the weight I have lost about 25 pounds, but over 60 pounds from my heaviest which broke 200lbs about 3 years ago. Still want to loose about 10 more before the big day!!
I love to exercie!. When I first started it was mainly 45-60mins of cardio and abs just to loose the weight. I did things like the stair master, running elliptical, and walking a decent speed on a full incline. As much as you say you get bored doing 45mins of cardio push yourself watch TV and keep yourself occupied because in the end it is worth it.
I am also in love with the Tone it Up girls Karina and Katrina they are all about living a healthy lifestyle and being fit. My bridesmaid just sent me a wedding Tone It Up Plan so if any of you ladies would like it let me know and I can email it to you.

I love the tone it up girls! We are featuring them in the magazine I work for next month! I would be curious to do their wedding plan. I am following the bikini ready by summer plan right now.

While I'm not really losing weight per se, I *have* gotten much more fit in the last couple of months! In the beginning of March, I couldn't even run a full lap around the track without feeling winded. This past Saturday, I completed a 5K, without stopping to walk at all, in 33:12 and took 3rd place in my age group! I am so proud of this accomplishment. I always tried to get into running but could never get past the first month. Now I want to continue doing 5Ks over the summer and am looking to do a 10K in September!

Congrats Lori! Running a 5k is amazing and your time is amazing too! I felt the same way after running my first 5k I just wanted to do every 5k lol. I'm still battling shin splints but I am hoping eventually I will overcome it and running will be pain free. I found through training for my 5k I enjoy interval training with burst of sprinting. That's awesome about the 10k! That is my next goal, I have 2 more 5k's this season. My bridal party banned me for signing up for anymore lol.

It's so addicting, isn't it? I don't know what took me so long to get into it, but I hope this becomes something I never want to shake!
I was having a tough time with shin splints for awhile too. Have you tried shin socks? I almost never go out without them and I'm convinced they helped me immensely. Now I'm having this mild case of plantar fasciitis so I'm trying to treat that and figure out how to continue training in the meantime. Ugh, I can't believe how many different injuries you can get from running!

It definitely is! I'm really excited for the bubble palooza run next month. A 5k running through bubbles (foam party bubbles) but with dye in them so color run meets foam. I'm so excited for it and it also raises money for the American Diabetes Association. Which is awesome cause my dad has diabetes so I get to do something fun, workout, and raise money to help. I have those compression sleeves for the shin, they help a little and I have brand new shoes I'm thinking I just need to work past it. Oh I know. The 5k I ran in the beginning of the month I rolled my ankle and I think I may have cause some small stress fractures in my foot cause it was bruised for 3 weeks and the area is still a bit tender when I run. It doesn't feel like a sprain. Even with the injuries nothing beats that feeling after you finish a run or that sense of accomplishment.

That is awesome! Any amount is progress. Even if it is .2. That is almost 2lbs in a week that is really great! Keep it up girl!
So holiday weekends usually throw me off big time but I have a plan not to fall off the wagon during the holiday weekend. I am super determined lately cause I have lost 15lbs since January so I want to lose another 15-20 before the wedding so I am really determined to do so. I have been eating clean and working out. Usually our holiday weekend is planned around eating and drinking festivities. Instead we planned active activities and packaging our own food to take along. We are going Kayaking on Sunday and Monday heading out to Montauk for some hiking and picnic on the beach. We were invited to a few bbq but we plan to eat before hand so that we are not hungry and no drinking for me I bough a bottle of lime seltzer so that I can feel social.

Hi ladies! So been working hard lost another 1.5lb sooooo close to my first goal. just 4 more lbs. I have set mini goals to lose weight without getting too discouraged. I've lost a inch or two around my hips, waist and thighs in the past month. So slowly but surely I am getting closer to wear I want to be. I bought my shower dress this weekend and I 1) got it in a size smaller than I was wearing and in juniors I was so excited I can fit back into medium dresses in junior sizes. 2) it's a fitted dress! My plan was to do an empire waist or something that flared out to hide my weight. But after trying on a few flared our dresses and the dress I got I just looked better in the fitted. The good thing about the fitted dress is it as a ruffle in the front to hide that lower belly pooch so thank god for that lol. Cause I'm still not there yet. But working on that flat belly. I also finally got measured for a bra cause I need to start corset shopping for wedding dress garments and I went down two band sizes and I am in between cup sizes so I have to try on two sizes to feel what fits better. Yay progress :)Welcome New Vendors
