2015 Venue Suggestions?

Original post by SWalshOB

Hello!!! FH and I are currently searching for venues in the $60 - 75 price range, either before or after ++ , in Nassau County or even western Suffolk. Our prospective date for the reception is March 14, 2015, and a minimum guest count of 125 guests. So far we've scouted out places in Westchester county and further upstate, but now we're also looking throughout LI. So far we're very interested in taking a peak at Swan Club, Riviera, Bridgeview Yacht Club, Coral House, Douglaston Manor, Milleridge, and possibly Captain Bills in Bay Shore. We'd both greatly appreciate quotes for any of these places, or any other suggestions!! Cheers

I think the lowest I was quoted for winter was Westbury Manor (though not as low as some other WM quotes I see here) and the Metropolitan in Glen Cove. I booked in 2012 though.

Good luck!

I love this forum! FH is a little curious at my obsession of trolling on here lol. Thank you again everyone for your responses! I'm really curious about these Lessings venues right now, particularly the all inclusive packages. I actually said YES TO THE DRESS today (with my father, which my MOH was slightly disappointed over) , so my stress and worry level is significantly improved since I feel like my most important piece of work has been checked off! Now back to my venue search!!! I'm really interested in Mansion at West Sayville, Smithtown Landing, and Brentwood Country Club. Any input? I don't live locally to these venues, so I'm curious if anyone can give me some insight before deciding which I should make a priority to visit. I love the photos from West Sayville! I'm also concerned about choosing the all inclusive packages because of the uncertainty of the quality of each of the vendors. Help? Thanks everyone :)

Lol Not at all!!! I know they've had problems in the past with the BM stealing, so it was an absolute bottom of the list! I've been having some drinks since 8 also after trying to dig my car out for an hour, so CHEERS!!!

Def the Metropolitan. We're doing a Sunday and got $70pp++ with a 120 person minimum. March is the most reasonable time of the year.

Long time since I've been on here! This past weekend FH and I visited West Sayville, Riviera, Crest Hollow and Swan Club. Our top choices are West Sayville and Riviera. I desperately wanted to love Swan Club; the outside is gorgeous and so romantic, but the reception rooms were TINY! West Sayville quoted us $95 with ++ included for a Saturday in March, Riviera quoted $99.05 with ++ included and Riviera offers SOOOOOOOOO much more; FH loves Riviera, as do I but I like the vibe of the setting at West Sayville. In my opinion, these quotes are still too pricey so some negotiation is still in order before we put pen to paper. I was really disappointed West Sayville wasn't offering all inclusive any longer although they were less than a month ago. Any input for this tie breaker, quotes for off season, food reviews, past experience?

Wow im surprised! I just went and looked it looks like they changed whichones offer it now! It's still bBrentwood cc, smithtown landing, condre hall and three village inn.....
What a difference a sat vs a sun makea too! I didn't realize! I was quoted something like $70/$75 for the Riviera if I remember correctly! Ive never been to either....BUT I can say that I have been too Stonebridge and the Bourne mansions expo which are lessings venue and the food is very good!! I have also been to the library cafe and the post office which is 2 of those restaurants. Also very good!! I don't think u van go wrong with either#!!! Good luck, keep us posted!!

Bridgeview yacht club and Milleridge will be over 120++ for a Saturday from what I've seen. Maybe about 110++ for march (friend of mine looking into march). My friend got married at captain bills I believe they paid close to $80 pp.

Swan Club quoted us $95 ++ for a Sunday (holiday same as Saturday) in September (with is also peak season) so you might have luck there, and they seemed like they can work with you.

Crest Hollow country club is def worth a look!! My quote was very affordable, 100 with tax and all (ask for Mitchell) however it is multiple weddings at a time(about 2-3 I think)

Hope this helps!!

Happy planning & congrats!!

I just got married 3/14/14 at Bridgeview and it was $75++ pp and it was an amazing night. They go above and beyond you should call Samantha she will give you all the info. People have not stopped calling all week to say how good the food was and how beautiful the venue was. It's a hidden gem
