i'm talking to photogs this weekend, and i'm just wondering how many people got or are getting the 2nd photog. is it worth it to have the extra person? it seems kind of expensive.
ETA: i went to meet with a photographer today, and they have a 2nd photog included in the 2 most expensive packages. however, she said we would only have the extra person from 4-7 (1 person w/ me from 3 through the end of the ceremony/pics, and the other with the guys from about 4 until 11ish). Is that normal--just 1 photographer @ the reception with a package that includes 2?

Re: 2nd photographer
it was absolutely worth it. we got shots that we wouldn't have had if we only had 1, and they got the same moments from different angles which made for a totally new 'moment,' if you will.
I think the ceremony is one instance where it definitely makes a difference. While one photog is trained on you and your FH/DH, the other is taking shots of your guests reacting to what you are doing. We have beautiful shots of our parents during our vows. I'm tearing up just thinking of it!

Re: 2nd photographer
I think two photogs is a must - we're having 300 people at the engagement party and 500 at the reception so we definitely got a second photog - but in general I think the photographer's the most important vendor as that's all you have at the end of the day - well in addition to a DH!!

Re: 2nd photographer
We had 2 photographers and I'm SO glad.
One kept following me around and the other kept following DH around. It is so worth it to get every moment on camera

Re: 2nd photographer
thanks for all this feedback, ladies! the consensus is overwhelmingly in favor of getting 2, so it looks like i might spring for the extra person.
