3 of my bridesmaids want to get pregggers!

3 of my bridesmaids want to get pregggers!

So, as of now one of my bridesmaids has dropped out because she wants to get pregnant. Two others are trying to get pregnant. Tonight I saw the girl who dropped out and now she is saying she might be 9 months preggers and might not be able to come. We have been friends since we are 3. I mean this is going to a awesome batchlorette party with all these pregnant girls. I mean not for nothing I don't care if they are pregnant for the wedding and are bridesmaids but, I was there for them when they got married and am I wrong to be upset about this?

i can understand you feeling disappointed
but not angry

people cant put their lives on hold for others' needs or wants

I know I agree. I am just disapointed. Mostly, just about my one friend who dropped out of my bridal party. I just want her to be there. I don't understand why she can't be pregnant and in my wedding.

yeea as long as you dont mind them being pregnant at the wedding then i totally dont blame you, they should def be there for you

Preggo and in the wedding...I can see that, they make amazing dresses these days. But to drop out all together not cool. But I also agree that they can put their lives on hold for the wedding. JMHO.

i understand what you are saying, but maybe it is a financial issue???
maybe it is a matter of her 'free time'
and wont feel like she can be a part of everything that the wedding party usually participates in

From what i read on LIF, on the TTC boards
The advice given is do not put TTC on hold for anything.

It $ucks that she wont be there, especially since you were there for her. I can relate to your disappointment

It seemed like she was saying her friend said she may be 9 months by then & not plan to go at all. At least I thnk that is what she said.

Hmmm.... I'm not really sure what to say. I understand your disappointment but at the same time from their perspective this is important to them too. It's probably rough on them not being able to share in all your wedding fun but hopefully you will be able to continue to offer your support and friendship to them.

i understand how you feel my BFF might be preggers at my wedding. we are ordering her dress a little big just incase but she wont be too big by the wedding anyway. We decided on something for my bach party that will be fun for everyone preggo and not. You dont have to go to bars and all that wild stuff for it, maybe you can find somehting low key and fun you can all do. and you still dont even know if they will all be preggers by then. You have to understand too that they got married first so of course they are gnna want to start their families. I know its upsetting but it happens. They can still be in the BP if they choose to be. Just play it by ear and see what happens. good luck

I say let her know you really want her in the wedding even if it means she's pregnant. Let her know how excited you are for her. Neither of you are going to put things on hold for the other, but maybe by letting her know that you want to be there for her, she'll show you she can be there for you? If she was a friend since you were 3 you should be able to talk to her about this. Maybe it's a financial commitment? Talk to her.

One of my bm wants to get pregnant she is going to try after my wedding.. I feel bad that all teh imp. people are thinking about dropping out but i guess they dont want to wait

Honestly...I understand your being upset...BUT I think in planning our weddings we sometimes lose sight of the fact that there is so much else going on everywhere...other people's lives, our own lives, etc. I am just being honest when I say that in the grand scheme of things I think that your friend beginning her family is probably very important to her...I cannot say I would not be disappointed, but I think I would try to see the bigger picture...

Having said this though, I can understand also why you would be upset with her deciding to not take part at all in your day...good luck with everything

I understand why you are feeling that way but it is true that we cannot expect people to put their lives on hold for our weddings (even if we have done so for them in the past)lol I have 4 BM who are preggers right now and supposedly another one is hoping to be by my wedding. I was asked by my FFIL what do they do with the dress (the dresses are being ordered this month) I told him flat out- that it is their problem not mine- and that if they need to buy a different dress than so be it. They had a yr to plan and if they are planning to be 9 months pregnant at my wedding it is not my fault. I know it sounds snotty but I dont care lolol (I personally dont think she wants to be in it anyway but feels bad since she is FH cousin)

aww try to be more understanding... and let them know that you dont mind if they are pregnant and in your wedding, explain how much you just want them there by your side!
