So where is everyone in the planning stage? I am in the midst of rehearsal invites, finishing favors, and dying to get all the responses back so I can tackle the seating chart!! How about everyone else Laura

We`re at about the same stage. Just got notification that the favor boxes shipped - will be assembling over the next few weeks. Program has been sent to the priest for review and I`ll print and tie the ribbons (using the template that I think you supplied - with some minor changes) We`re getting steady responses back. Have 114 and need 175 - sent 240 and have 22 no`s of that total. FMIL has very definate ideas of proper seating for her family, (families have to sit together - doesn`t want us mixing cousins with friends) so she`ll get an alotment of tables and her list. We`ll do friends and my family, and consult with my Mom. Song list is almost done - haven`t dealt with the photo list. My Shower is this Sunday - looking forward to having the MOH and BM`s together - they are all over the country. Still have to sew my shawl, the sashes for the girls skirts (3) and my handbag. What`s left: Expirement with hair and make up Reserve car service (not using limo) Find nail salon near hotel Goodie bags for hotel guests Final details on rehersal and dinner It`s crunch time!

Quick question.... You said you were sending the programs to the priest. Does this have to be done or are you just being courteous?

Karen what are you putting in the hotel bags? we thought water, snacks, cookies, aspirin and invite to brunch --any other ideas? what are your favor boxes like? Laura

Kate - just being paranoid! My Fi is Catholic, I`m not. We both know the priest thru Fi`s Knights of Columbus council, where he is the chaplain. I asked him to take a look at it to make sure I have the order, the terminology, and so on correct. Laura; my Mom is handling most of the goodie bag details, pretty much along the line of what you are doing. I ordered some cello-bags from Papermart - thin tubes that we`ll fill with some nuts and jelly beans and tie with ribbon. Mom`s going to go to Costco and pick up some things. I like the idea of asprin - maybe Alka Seltzer for after the wedding too! With all the food they`ll need it!!! We`re also going to include a copy of the map to the church and reception, in case any forgot to bring it - along with the times of various events. And maybe a few brochures of the area (Great Neck) with a train schedule. The favor boxes are cream colored, embossed. We`re putting a little clear 'easter grass' inside and 4 wrapped chocolates from a little chocolate company in Arizona, where my family is from. I ordered some ribbon from Papermart to tie them with too. Now I just have to break the news to Fi that since the no one else connected with the wedding lives here in MA near us, he`s going to have to help me assemble 200 favor boxes!!!
