Am I insane? Our budget is wee, $1,000 absolutely tops. And I want some limited editing, simple, clean video. I have contacted a few ppl, but nothing yet.
Should I give up???

We're just buying a good video camera and having my sisters BF tape it for us! i knwo its low budget BUT seriously, We'll only watch it a handful of times and we get to keep the camera! yay!

do not give up! You may regret it forever! I'm in loooove w my videographers work, but he's a bit pricey. However, I'm someone who said video is a waste of money, then I saw his work..

i'm using Video Image Productions - my friend used him, and her video was simple yet perfect and had all the moments you would want. The owner/videographer was GREAT. He stayed the entire time (even after the photographers left!) and will give you the raw footage for $50.
ETA: I can't stress enough how great he was - and his package for an edited version of the DVD is $800-1000.

Ed Neary is my video guy too but he is under another video company AND joseph edwards. he is priced well for basic documentary.... it you want all of the special work it will be more... FM if you want more details
