46 days to the wedding and im in a cast and crutches

I swear there has been a black cloud over me

today i was running to catch a train and this kid cut me off and i mid-run i tried not to bump into the kid and my whole foot went under me and i couldnt even walk, i sat on right where i was for 15-20 mins before i could even motivate and basically limped. BUt it started swelling up badly and my foot became so numb and i was in so much pain even just sitting and doing nothing. Fh took me to the doc and i sprained it so bad that i tore a muscle throughout my whole foot. I cant even move my foot, i can barely wiggle my toes, and cant walk without the crutches. I just used them now and its so hard to adjust to.

But this F*IN *****, the doc said it will take 6-8 weeks to fully heal but should be ok by the wedding. What F*IN luck is this and i have so much to do and i was ordered to stay in bed

ok now i have to run, it took me forever to go to the bathroom and i had to check email quick, so maybe ill be back on later tonight since i have nothing else to do

YES!!!!!!!!! thats another thing lol, i was telling FH BUT i also am going to vegas, what am i going to go like this? he said oh great now you'll have so much sympathy from guys he says that bc when he broke his first ankle years ago, before i was with him he said he went to clubs and girls would all come up to him like OMG are you ok and it helped him

Aww, I don't blame you at all. I feel so badly for you. But, like everyone else is saying, just do everything you need to do and you should be fine by the wedding!

feel better denise! dont worry think positive! i broke my ankle - shattered it to pieces had to have surgery - part of my bone is missing, i had pins and everything - it was total disaster - i couldnt go to school for like 2 months, i had to have a tutor come to the house and i was on crutches forever and then i had physical therapy - i still have problems because the cast and surgery only healed my bones but a lot of times muscles/ligaments/tendons dont heal right after something like that - especially when they are set stiff in a cast for 2 months so even now years after i still have swelling and pain -but nothing that stops me from doing things....its true that a sprain can be worse but they are only worse than a clean break....

im sure if you follow the doctors orders and stay off it you'll be fine in time for the wedding - its true to think positive and get lots of rest and relaxation lots of hugs and wishes for a speedy recovery!

ohh and you will get used to the crutches - i remember my ribs being a little sore from them in the beginning but once you are used to them you will be whizzing around!


OMG so sorry to hear that well youre better now but sorry you did have to go through that

yeah i even mentioned in an earlier post that fh said a sprain is worse than a clean break, if its not a clean break then yeah thats even worse than either.

Yeah yesterday i felt i was going to fall flat on my face with these crutches bc i lost my balance a little but just need to get used to it.

They sell shower chairs in lots of pharmacies and medical supply stores. They're mostly used for senior citizens and things like that, they're the same ones that are used in hospitals. If you ask your dr. he can probably suggest someplace local that sells them. That will help you alot I think...I hope.

yes! my aunt has one of these.... there used to be a surgical supply store somewhere in nassau...

OH wait, I just remembered... FMIL has one also in her shower for FH's grandma - I think she might have gotten it at home depot or even BB&B maybe... that might be easier than a surgical supply (and cheaper). I'll ask FH when i talk to him later.

i think there is a place by me that would sell it, its a local pharmacy that has all these things. Ill ask somebody to get me one. The worst is that yesterday when i went to work i woke up a lil late so didnt have time to shower, i did the night before though but right now i feel so dirty I WANT TO SHOWER hahahaha

fh actually is going to BB&B today for this thing to put over a hat and put in the washer lol so ill ask him to look. I was even looking for small tables or something to put in the shower hahaha

OMG Im so sorry!!!!! That really stinks
Take care of yourself and stay off of it. Maybe if you follow the DR;s orders for a week or 2 it will heal quicker?
