Hi ladies, i need some help. I had originally set a date in october of 2011. But because fh and i are trying to save for a house, i was thinking of changing my date. What do you think of having a 4th of July wedding in 2011??? My only concern is that 4th of july lands on a Monday. I know that the majority of my family and friends do not work on the 4th of July. Is it almost like having a 'sunday' wedding since most are off that day?
TIA.... Im about to have a nervous break down since i want my house and wedding!!!

I'm getting married this 4th of July and most of our invites are attending. It's one day out of everyone's life...it really shouldn't be a problem. Everyone is looking for a good time anyway. I think the 3rd would be the best day to do ti, then they have off Monday.

Do you have a lot of OOT guests? Its expensive to travel 4th of July weekend. I personally wouldn't want to pay extra for a hotel.

I went to a wedding on the 4th of July once and it was totally fine! People who love you will come whenever you have your wedding and I think most people are off on July 4th. I say go for it~!

My friend is getting married this july 3, and Im in the wedding.
The wedding is actually taking place in Florida, so its not the same situation as you, but I have to come home on the 4th of July, and I'm annoyed that I'm loosing my holiday
I think July 3 is best, because it gives ppl the chance to see their own family and friends for 4th of July.

My FBIL had a July 4th wedding...it was very nice...the ONLY issue is that she waited too long to send the invites (Mid May ) and ended up taking back my invite to re-send because they got so many NOs....people make plans for July 4th well in advance!
