Every keeps telling 'Oh my God you have some much time!!' 'Wow, you're getting married in 2 years!!'. I thought that at first too, but this site makes you realize you definately have to plan a bit more in advance for a Long Island wedding...

Which RH are you thinking about picking SoontobeMrsP??? I had such a hard time deciding on mine. It literally took me about a year to decide..I'm such an over planner sometimes! I know now that I'm going to limit myself to about 4-5 vendors in each category and pick from those. I can't go through looking at 30 things again. I'll just confuse myself again.

It is very confusing, I had to make a seperate binder for reception halls, I had it divided into queens, nassau and suffolk and i had sheets from every hall with there menu and price range. i cant do that for every vendor. God willing i am booking my hall tommorrow...
I love CLM but, my FH doesn't want to pay 115pp for that place and 'yacht arrival' in case it rains, he hates the inside chapel. I am only looking at two more places besides where I already looked.. Larkfield Manor and The Riviera, no matter what I will have a decision tommorrow

I loved Larkfield Manor!!! Harry was sooo nice. FH and I really wanted to have our wedding there but unfortunately we came to the conclusion that it will be too far for our guests to get to. Most of our guests are coming from CT, MA, Bronx, and Queens.

I haven't seen CLM or The Riviera (couldn't meet their minimums). Good luck!!! Keep us posted

I have that prob too with people coming from those areas so I did the same thing you did... not lookin too far into Nassau. I'm trying to only look at places 20-25 miles or less from me
