Way too much. You should be able to get decent flower arrangements and centerpieces for half that.

the cp is awesome it looks like a tree(with rose petals and candles around the bottom 18 person bp,house & church decorated,flowers for moms,blessed mother, throw bo-k, our dais,rose petals on church floor, to throw outside church

I don't need centerpieces, but got all of the usual other arrangments and I was quoted $900, that's roses and calla lilies...so I would say, unless your centerpieces are big or the flowers are rare, then that is a lot JMO!

WOW!!!!!!!!!!
I'm paying a fraction of that. Then again, I am having a small wedding. $5K is a lot for something that will be dead in a few days. IMO

mine were almost that much but i am getting huge amazing CP but I a bit worried because my quote was for 15CP now i may need 18-20 I hope they dont charge extra

YIKES!!! No offense, but I would definately shop around!!! That's extremely high. Mine are costing less than $1k and I have basically the same thing. Honestly, if you want a good deal, just keep shopping around. You'll get what you want and see what others charge for the same thing. SOmetimes, you just have to splurge though... there are things that you just HAVE to have!!! We're all guilty of this!

That is a lot, but also consider it in the context of your whole budget. Some people have very lavish weddings and think that's about average. Others, like me, had smaller and more modest weddings and thus find $5k to be a lot.
I paid about $1200 for flowers but centerpieces were included at my hall. That was for 6 bo-ks, and all the bouts and corsages.

It's hard to say...
How many cp's? What kind of decorations for house and church? How many? etc. etc.
There are many things that could factor into that price. The best way to find out is to get another quote for the same exact things from another florist.

Ok seems like you need a lot of flowers BUT I would still shop around to get other prices and do search on here for the florist that gave you that price quote to see what other brides said about them...Good Luck!!

Mine are about that, but it includes the chuppah, which is fairly expensive to decorate. In my eyes, there is a difference between cheap flowers and expensive ones. It's like diamonds, some people can tell the difference and some cannot. JMO.

Everyone's budget for flowers is going to vary. I spent a lot more than that and was happy will the final product. I don't think you will regret it as long as you have the money to put toward it. Tell your FI not to worry.

My flower bill came to just under 5,000.. (i mean just under)
We booked Flowers Michelle... and John is great
20 candelabras with 4 dozen roses in each All bridal party flowers Church flowers Misc. things as well....
Some people think it is ridiculous to spend so much on flowers but I love them! It is always the first thing you see when you walk into a wedding and i wanted them to really set the tone...
