It sounds like too much but I haven't even begun to shop around for flower vendors so I have nothing to compare it to. As long as you're happy with them and you have the means, go for it.

I honestly don't think that that price is too expensive....it all depends on how important flowers are to you and how much of an impact they will play on your day! I know I want flowers everywhere and I mean everywhere I just love them so much....(even though they'll be dead the next day) I went to a florist that many girls recommend on here this afternoon and got quoted over 5K....I honestly thought they were going to tell me 10K with everything I wanted-LOL It all depends on you budget and how important they are to you! I paid very very close to that amount for my flowers. It seems like you need and are getting alot. It really depends on how much you are getting, and the quality.
I would shop around ( with anything and everything wedding related) just to give yourself a better idea and see what kind of a deal you are getting.

i think 5k is expensive as oppose to other things you can buy for 5k(photos, viedo) that will last a lifetime. i'm not saying to be froggle on flowers but that money could easily go someplace else ... we got flowers for 2k and they were the best

I haven't gone shopping for flowers yet, but I definitely am not going to budget $5,000 for flowers. Probably $2500 at most. But, I did spend way more on photography than other people would, so it is all about personal preference and what is important to you.

we're spending more than 5k on flowers, but then again we're having a very LARGE wedding!

IMO TOOOO MUCH for something thats going to die! Spend more on video and photography. Please check out my florist. I promise I dont work for her or anything , but I am getting everything I need for $1,000!!! Im getting low centerpieces. I know of someone who is paying $1400 for high centerpieces. The lady is so super sweet and VERY reasonable. Check out National Floral on Merrick Road in Bellmore. She has live and silk centerpieces there on site to see, she gave me 2 dozen roses when I left and a 10% discount for mentioning liweddings. She was so very sweet and gave my son tons of cookies and juice.

Anyway, she is a vendor on here. I dont care for her website but she can get just about any flower. Bring pics or ideas and Im sure she can do it. FM me if you have any questions.

It sounds like you are having a big wedding so it's probably a reasonable price. I am not having floral CPs so I can't compare. But..what's important is that you can afford it and are happy with the florist that you chose.

I don't need as much flowers as you are getting but I my MOH is & she got a much lower price...

You have to remember, it is all up to your preference on what you want to spend...There are definately ways to cut that cost down

Hey Nic,,,

I dont think 5k is a lot considering what your getting. Guys will always think that a certain amount of money is to much for flowers! They dont understand..to them it is one day and then they get thrown out the next,,But to us it is more than that!!!!!!!!!

For what you need, I don't think it's an over the top quote. an 18 personal bridal party is big, and your CP is expensive no matter who does them. How many tables do you have?

I really don't think it's too expensive, but it's all relative. I believe flowers should be about 10% of the wedding budget. So if you're having a 50,000 dollar wedding, that would be on point... JMO

You have to keep in mind that the price varies depending on the type of flowers and CP you are choosing..

SO for what NIC is getting,,,5K is a great price....But check out the National Whole sale place and see what they quote you....Doesnt hurt...

Dont get upset Nic...

I don't think that's too much especially for what you are getting. Mine were a little over 5K and I don't even have a big bridal party. Flowers were important to me though. I think if you have the money should get what makes you happy
