That is a lot for me. I personally would rather spend that $$$ elsewhere.
I paid $1800 for mine.

It really depends on what you getting.

Ive been to weddings where they spent twice that on flowers...and Ive been to wedding were they spent 10% of that. It really depends on your budget and the kind of atmosphere you are creating.

Flowers are expensive..if you want a lot of them and/or exotic ones, you are going to pay for it. I love flowers so if you have the budget, go for it!

I think it really depends what you are looking for and how many tables you are looking for.

I've gotten quotes anywhere from 4K and up depending on the style I wanted.

Are you going for tall or short centerpieces?
how 'full' are they.

It may be very reasonable..

WOW!!!!!!!!!!

I'm paying a fraction of that. Then again, I am having a small wedding. $5K is a lot for something that will be dead in a few days. IMO

Yes, I agree I'm paying $600 for simple CP's, my bo-k, MOH bo-k, 8 corsages, 4 bouteniers, a swag for the ceremony and a few other things that I can't remember.

I think that for what you are getting it sounds really reasonable (well, reasonable for a wedding). I had a small wedding and my flowers were around $3200. Just as a comparison mine included 7 CP, My BoK, 3 BM Boks, 5 boutineers, candles and wrought iron holders for the ceremony, 3 CH Centerpieces and honeysuckle that was wrapped around the beams and columns.

I have 30 tables, 20 people in my wedding party, moms, dads, etc...

and I am paying 2200.

That's def. too much!

I am getting high candelabras with just over 4 dozen roses in each... with all of the personal and ceremony flowers- everywhere I looked it was about the same price. Flowers were important to me...

For what you are getting... the price is fine..

I haven't done anything with flowers yet, but if my quote is anywhere NEAR 5k I think I will fall of my chair. IMO, that is way to much! Granted, I love flowers, but 5000 dollars is not worth it!

I wouldn't spend that much....I would spend less and spend extra on other things that will last, like photography maybe. I have yet to hear anyone RAVE about the centerpieces at a wedding. The music, the food, yes, the centerpieces, no.

I'm paying $3800 for 23 tall CPs, my BK (with crystals, rhinestone wrap), 7 BM bks, 15 bouts, 4 flowergirl flowerballs, 5 corsages, 1 tall white orchid arrangement for placecard table, and 1 large floral arch. also a throw away bk, and 4 flower girl floral headpieces included....

my flowers are mostly orchids, roses, and lilies.

Who is you florist? It sounds like you are getting a lot for you money.

I think it really depends on what kind of flowers you want and how many centerpieces you're looking for.

Do you want high or low centerpieces? That's a big difference there too. Low centerpieces can be about $65-$75, which high centerpieces start at $100 each.

How many bridesmaids are you having?

I would shop around, go to 2 or 3 places. I got a quote from Burtons for $1275, then I went to Flower Michelle and it was $1525

Like I said, it all depends on the number of pieces you need
