*8-24 QOTD

So as my first order of business....

Have you had to defer to anyone during your wedding plannng? Or do you and FH get to call the shots?

FH and I are calling all the shots, our families are totally cool with it. Even the minor compromises have been super easy.

Since FH are paying the bulk we are having final say in everything.

BUT, I do talk to my mom about everything. Even if i don't want to I do cuz WWIII would start if i didn't lol.

The majority of the shots are being called by FH and I. Both of our parents have been really laid back and have been letting us do what we want since it is our big day!! I am sure there will be some minor things that will come up but so far, everything is just me and him!

We're calling all the shots. My parents are paying for a lot; what they aren't paying for is covered by FH and I. While my parents are paying, they just have one stipulation to how we use their cash: do a lot of research on vendors before signing on the dotted line.

FH & I call all of the shots.

However I value the opinions of FMIL, my mom & my sister. They are the only other people who's opinions we will ask during this process.

umm i would even go as far as to say most of the shots are being called by me..but on the other hand i also dont make any decision, no matter how small without talking to at least fh, and usually fmil and my mother as well..

I am the one calling all the shots, FH has no idea what is planned for the wedding and doesn't really want to know, he trusts what I'm doing and it will all be a surprise to him on the day of.

We technically have to defer to my parents since they are the ones funding the wedding, but they know that we are trying to cut costs wherever we can and we have consistently come in under or at budget on everything...so basically whatever we want to do is fine.

Generally, FH and I get the last say over everything. But I also want everyone's opinions. For instance, my invites, I had my mom, FMIL, and my BP all give me their opinions on what they liked best.

For the RH, FH and I picked one and then brought our families to go see it before we signed the contract.

All of our vendors, we've picked ourselves.

me and FH make all of the decisions. mostly me tho now, cause he already decided on plenty of things (geography, date, place), so now its my turn lol
I do tell my mom everything and ask for her input, in our family that is how we handle things. couldnt even be any other way.

theres a few things our parents have 'requested that we do' and since they are giving us a lot of money we are doing it just to keep the peace...but we are putting in a lot of our own money so the bulk of the decisions are ours.

Fh says I have been calling all the shots but I have been ask his mom and mine their opinons, my mother has been with me looking at invites and she was with me when I booked the florist, Fh didnt come at all-lol but thats okay he would have complained on how much i was spending! The only thing FH is really planning is the playlist for the Dj and he wants to know if there was a bar at the hotel for the guest or should they bring there own beer!

We had to 'defer' to my dad on the limos. I guess it's fair since he's paying for them though

We are calling all the shots but I keep asking for people's suggestions because I get nervous planning it all on my own. FH isn't very decisive except to tell me what he doesn't like.
