Have you had to defer to anyone during your wedding plannng? Or do you and FH get to call the shots?
FH and I are calling all the shots, our families are totally cool with it. Even the minor compromises have been super easy.

We are calling the shots - but my parents have some say b/c they are paying for most of the wedding.

We are calling most of the shots, but since my parents are paying for most of it, they get some say, especially in the guest list

FMIL SAYS she doesn't have an opinion, but she sure is making herself known about her dislikes! I thought it would be great to have gourmet candied apples as the wedding gift (Hallween Weekend Wedding), but she says no. We can put a few apples on the tables, but that shouldn't be the main gift.
Then, I bit the bullet and showed her a few dresses I'm looking at/want to try on (I pretty much showed her all the ones in my album) and she was like, 'Oh, ok, that's ok, nice, oh, ok,' to all! So what, i'm supposed to think she's NOT giving her opinion? One of my MOHs said to NEVER show her ANY dresses ever again ESPECIALLY if she's going to react like that. FMIL is totally passive aggressive and it really piiiissssses me off!
That's about it. Mom wants to be with me when I buy my gown, but we have very similar taste, so I'm not worried (she wound up picking out my prom dress!).

FH and I are calling the shots....we have final say. However, since we are both really bad people pleasers we have been running things past my dad and his mom... Gee I wonder why my mom feels left out? LOL!

For the most part we are calling the shots. There have been a few requests which we have both agreed to have and.or veto'd!

Well, aside from the RH no major decisions have been made yet. From the numerous convos FH & I have had w/my parents I think we will make the final decision but they def want to be in on the details. Which we are both fine on. As for FIL's, I def want them to be 'in the loop' but they are very laid back about everything so I will be shocked if they pull the upper hand on us.

FH and I are calling all of the major shots. There are some minor situations where we have had to give in to my parents' wishes out of respect for them.

The majority of the shots are being called by FH and I. Both of our parents have been really laid back and have been letting us do what we want since it is our big day!! I am sure there will be some minor things that will come up but so far, everything is just me and him!

We don't 'defer' to anyone. We all work together and take ideas, but in the end it's up to us. Nobody has been pushy or anything. My FIL's are awesome, they don't push anything on us.

I am the one calling all the shots, FH has no idea what is planned for the wedding and doesn't really want to know, he trusts what I'm doing and it will all be a surprise to him on the day of. __________________________________________________________ Hey, has your FH been hanging out with my FH? He just wants to know two things: to make sure he's not wearing pink and he has his own groom's cake. Therefore, I'm calling all of the shots! But I definitely enlist my mom and sis (MOH) for girlie advice.
