8/30/03 Wedding Review

I'm sorry this review is a little late. This is my first week back and I've been so busy. First, I would like to thank everyone for all your help and support during my planning process! I couldn't have done it without you guys!

The day was great and the rain held out until after church. I loved it all but was so relieved when it was all over. A year and a half of planning built up a lot of anticipation! So here's my review...

RK Bridal - A+
I bought my gown and the girls ordered their bridesmaid dresses from there. Everything from the service, ordering the dresses and the alterations went well without any problems.

Hair & Makeup (Claudia and Maureen Pedala) - A+
They were phenomenal!!! They came early with a hair assistant and did a beautiful job on everyone! Everyone loved how they looked especially my mom who is super critical about hair and makeup. I highly recommend them!! Maureen does airbrush makeup and has done numerous celebrities. Claudia did my hair but she does both hair and makeup as well. Both are super talented!!

Spelman Studios - ???
I can't really rate them yet since I haven't gotten my proofs back. I feel like too many posed pictures were taken, which I specified I didn't want too many of. I'm disappointed we couldn't take pics after the ceremony in Central Park because of the rain, but I'm sure Carol and her team took some great pics!

Wild Rose Video - ???
I haven't seen the footage yet but Bill was great and I'm sure he will do a terrific job! We hardly noticed he was around. He's like a phantom videographer. My family asked if we got a video because they didn't notice a videographer. My husband didn't even notice he had an assistant there and neglected to give the asst. a tip that night. Duh! We're calling to fix that.

Flower Michele - A+
John is a saint!! I must have changed my mind like a 100 times. You should see his notes of all the changes I made. The flowers were beautiful!! The centerpieces were breathtaking and totally made the room!

Coachman Limos - B
The limo for the bridal party and the Rolls for us were nice. The drivers were great, early and helpful! The thing that irks me is that we were told we were getting a 60 passenger bus but a 30 passenger bus showed up. And at the end of the night, the bus was 30 mins. late picking everyone up from the reception. It seems like the driver took a nap and overslept. Other than that they were fine.

Times Square Orchestra - A+
Absolutely loved them!! They were awesome!! We got so many compliments from our guests on how great they were! Our friends said that out of all their friends' weddings, they were the best band! They were also great to deal with!

North Ritz Club - A+
Outstanding!! Loved them! Ida is a sweetheart!! She was great to deal with the whole time. George the maitre d' was great! He always asked if we needed anything. Monica the bridal attendant was great as well! We got rave reviews on the place, food, and service! It was perfect!!

I think that pretty much covers it.

I am using Maureen Pedala too! Isn't she great? How did you find her? Did I recommend her? lol! Congrats on your wedding- everything sounded beautiful!
