9/21 Wedding Review!

Our wedding day was amazing! We enjoyed every minute it! I agree with everyone that says it goes to fast and I am so glad we decided to get the video, just looking at some of the pictures from the disposables I know I missed a lot!

On to the vendors...

Stewart Manor Country Club - outstanding service and great food! THe catering manager was accomodating, the Maitre D' helpful and our head waiter followed us around the room to check if we needed anything but most of the times he did this, he already had our drinks with him.

Paul Marino Photography - Paul was an absolute pleasure to be with all day. He arrived on time, was friendly and polite and took some running around in stride. He shoots digital pics now so he was showing us some of the pictures he took and we can tell they will be beautiful.

Candlelight Video - transparent. I met our main videoagrapher at the beginning of the day and he said good bye before he left. Other then that, I did not know he was there - no bright llights, no intrusions.

Murphy's Florist - AMAZING!!! Our flowers/tables looked beautiful. We dealt directly with the owner and personally came to SMCC to oversee the setting up. The bouquets were exquisite.

Royalty Limo - On time! Our driver was friendly, helpful to us and the photographer. No one got lost or arrived anywhere late.

Rev Joe & Judy - They wrote a beautiful ceremony. It was very touching and all of our guests loved it.

Hart to Hart Entertainment - our MC was Pierre and I think Diego was our DJ. They had the dance floor filled the entire evening! THey honored all of OUR requests, engaged the guests without being pushy at all. This is the vendor I was most concerned about and they did such an outstanding job. I have to say their prices and the BS with the sales dept was worth every cent and second when I think about how wonderful they helped make the wedding.

Have You Heard - we ordered our invitations from this store in Bellmore. Ginny and her husband are extremely helpful in making selections and letting you know the proper ettiquette for ordering. The order came in quickly and accurately. We got a great response about our invites.

Bridal Reflections - for my gown - Marnie was my original consultant. SHe was very friendly and really helped me find the perfect dress. Of course it was over my stated budget and I ended up negotiating a bit to bring the price down a bit. The alterations came out perfectly but technically I had 3 fittings which I thought was excessive for a dress that needed a hem, bustle, and a couple of darts by the shoulders. I was pleased and surprised they made a french bustle with no extra cost. I would suggest scheduling all your fittings in advance at one time - I had trouble scheduling convenient appointments.

My sister (MOH) also got her dress here and it and she looked beautiful. SHe needed major alterations and they did a fabulous job.

Westbury Gardens - we took photos here before the ceremony. The park is beautiful and I know the pictures will look great but it was AWFUL walking around this park in full wedding attire in the sun and heat. If considering this location, talk to your photographer about how to minimize the hiking around.

The only other thing is something I wish I remembered. I read somewhere that you should not let 2 feet go between you and your new husband. I thought, well of course, how hard can that be? I can say at one point I spent 15 minutes looking for him - someone was always grabbing one of us 'for just a sec' and a trip to the ladies room took me as long as an hour by the time I crossed the room and politely spoke to everyone I passed for 'just a sec'.

Sounds like everything went well, sorry for your hike throught he gardens, lol, but I'm sure when you see your pics it'll be worth it, but thanks for the tip, I have to remember that !!!!

Congratulations Christine, I am so glad you had such a wonderful day!! I cant believe how fast your wedding came, I totally didnt realize it was here and forgot to wish you good luck, Sorry about that.

Glad you had a good experience at Stewart Manor, and I thank you for all the help you have given me on this board. If you have any advice for me please share.

Congrats to you and your new hubby, hope you life together is wonderful. Good Luck in the future.

One more thing I forgot, HOW was Disney world? My favorite place in the world. We may do a week there and a week someone else, havent yet finalized my honeymoon.
