A bittersweet 'I'm back and married!!' post *****PICS ON PAGE 2*****
I’m back and married!!!! ![]()
We got back from our honeymoon 12:30am Sunday morning. I wanted to come on and say hello then but i had a very bittwersweet return....
My grandfather had been very sick this whole year, but starting from the summer time he was in and out of the hospital every week. The weeks leading up to the wedding were extremely rough. He did make it to my wedding and we had a special dance which was amazing! I was dreading calling my mom when we woke up (she had left me a message and I knew it was gonna be about him) I listened to her voicemail and she had said he was back in the hospital. So I was relieved that he didn’t pass while I was away. And when I called her she had asked that we come right away. So we did and spent a few hours in the hospital. And she was telling me how he was waiting for me to get back and how he kept asking what day it was and what day I was coming back. and how they lost him for a few minutes on the Friday, but he came back. Well, about 10 hours after we left, I got a phone call at 2:30am saying he passed.![]()

So its been a rough week. Today is my first day back to work, and all I can say is TGIF..........
On a brighter note, the wedding was awesome! from what I remember!!! thank goodness for videos! I cant wait to be able to see what happened! I had some minor attire glitches which im still kid of upset about. My dress was not bustled correctly, so I kept stepping on it and dragging frabic around. im so thankful that my cousin is in the bridal industry cause she came prepared with huge @ss safety pins and had to pin me up twice! And my broach was hanging off my dress during the cake cutting ceremony so im really pissed that no one saw that and fixed it. hopefully the photographer can photoshop it back on. And the bracelet I borrowed from the jeweler broke after the dance with my father so I had to take it off. I was in LOVE with this bracelet and so upset I didn’t get to wear it all night. Minus those glitches, I think everything went smoothly!!! Westbury manor was gorgeous! The food I think was good! hahaha, we didn’t eat much or didn’t drink much. but it looked good!!! and the gardens were perfect!!! I think we got all the photos we wanted. I cant wait to see all the pics!!! Our plan to say hi to everyone at the cocktail hour didn’t really happen. We were late arriving to WM cause of traffic, so everything was delayed. We got to the cocktail hour and said hello to a few people and then we had to go get lined up. So we went around to every table which was totally fine! i enjoyed saying hello to people actually!
The honeymoon was beyond my expectations!! 12 days in Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora. We missed our connection to Tahiti so we ended up spending a night in LA, and flying out the next day and spending a night in Tahiti, which we weren’t planning on doing. So we lost a day, but honestly, I was really upset when it happened, cause FH upgraded our Newark to LA flight tickets to First Class, and we were sooooo excited, only to find out that our flight was going to be delayed over 3 hours cause of the 'monsoon' that day and had to fly standby to LA. So there was a big mishap there, and I thought it was going to ruin the vacation, but it totally DIDN’T!!!! we had such a great time!!!!! we did something almost everyday, so it wasn’t “boring” like people say. we weren’t bored AT ALL!!!! The times we got to lay on the beach and relax were awesome. we swam with the sharks and fed the sting rays, did a jet ski tour, rented a dune buggy, went on a sunset cruise, played golf, went on a safari tour, ate at cool restaurants and snorkeled until we were sick of snorkeling!
I am writing a full review! Its hard to write it now, cause i cant gather my thoughts. but I will have it soon! And the only pictures I have right now are non pro pics. and only one pic is on my work computer. i am going to see if i can borrow my co workers memory card reader and if so i will post some more pics later!
