I have a question...... I'm having a small wedding, around 100 people or so, and I wanted to keep my Bridal Party small. I originally wanted my sister (Moh), and two best friends (bm's), and I was thinking of having Fh's two neices as jr bm's (in 2 years they will be in early teens). Now, my mom wants me to have my cousins (all teenagers 15-19) in my party, but I'm NOT close with them. MY DILEMA: I have 3 cousins... 2 are from one family, and 1 from another. Would you include family, just to make mom happy, OR would you just do what you want???
Keep in mind, It's all 3 or none, otherwise there are hurt feelings....

Re: A Bridal Party Question.....
I say do what you want--it's your wedding and you and FH should be in control of who is the BP. The BP should be people who are special and close to you, not people that you felt obligated to ask.

Re: A Bridal Party Question.....
I think since your wedding is small- that having a bridal party that represents 10 to 15% of your total guest lists is a little weird.
I would say- yes in other circumstances, to make mom happy- but, it is a lot of people for a small wedding- that can be your arguement to your mom.

Re: A Bridal Party Question.....
Hey Gina! A suggestion is involve them, but not in the wedding party directly. Have them do any of the following, hand out programs at the ceremony (if you're doig that), hand out the 'throw-aways' (bubbles, rose petals, bubbles, etc), if possible, they can do a reading, at the reception, they can pass around the guest book.
If I think of anything else, I'll let you know. I know it's tough trying to make 'everyone' happy and do what you want! Fun, fun, fun!!!

Re: A Bridal Party Question.....
your mom got to pick her BP and you get to pick yours.
even if someone picked hers for her, its still not fair for you. its your wedding. you pick them.

I agree with the other girls...do what you want. It's your wedding and believe you me, there is no way you will make everyone happy so just amke yourself happy.
