A couple questions about Tuxedos...

Do you go with your fiance to the tuxedo store to pick out his tux and the groomsmens? Also, do you need to order all the tuxedos at one time? I don't know if we can do that because we have people in the wedding party that live all over the place, and I don't think they'll all be able to get to the same place at the same time? Thanks!

A couple questions about Tuxedos...

I went with my husband when he went to pick out his tux because he wanted me to. I think it depends on the individual. You also might want to go to make sure that the color and style he picks, matches with your girls colors. You don't have to order them all at once. If you have groomsmen who live far away, the tux shop will give you a form for them to take to a shop in their area to get measurments. Then you bring that back to the tux shop that you are using and they will order the correct size. Hope the info helps.

A couple questions about Tuxedos...

I would suggest picking it out unless your fiancee objects so you can make sure his tux compliments your gown.

Our story...

My husband and I looked around at a few shops and found the tux that looked best on him. We were still a little early, so we waited a few more weeks before he was measured. Luckily, we were able to get his brother and wife to meet with us one night, and the guys got measured. Then we all went for dinner. The other guy in the party, who couldn`t join us that night, called and the shop had his measurements still on file since he had used the shop for his wedding. My husband`s brother picked up all the tuxedos on his way to our rehearsal. Unfortunately, the guy whose measurements were on file was given a tux with his father`s measurements, not his. So, the day before the wedding, he had to go down anyway. My husband`s brother was given a shirt that was a bit too small (but managable), and he didn`t notice til the night before the wedding. No matter what, make sure the guys try EVERYTHING on when the tuxedos are picked up, and try to make sure you can get them at least two days prior to your wedding, in case you do need to have someone go back for something. You and your fiance should look around and have him try a few jackets on to see what fits best on him. The guys shouldn`t all need to go down at the same time, but the shop will want to know how many tuxes you`ll need .. the more you need, the less you should be quoted in price.
