Now that I am pregnant - never. Before, DH and I hardly ever drank during the week, only on the weekends.

Re: A drinking poll....
When in Europe... It's not unusual for us to have a glass or two of wine with dinner
But I don't ever get wasted during the week, and hardly ever on the weekends. (Recent knee bruising incident excluded )

I only drink on a special occasion, so maybe once every couple of months.

I hate the taste of alcohol. I'd much rather have a thick shake! And while I'm putting on the whipped cream, I might do a quick one from the can while nobodys lookin. =oP
That's cute!

Re: A drinking poll....
I don't really drink anymore. Hardly ever during the week and NEVER to the point where I am buzzed. Dealing with the noise of 1300 students in the hallways and having a hangover does NOT work well. I hardly ever drink on the weekends. Honestly I am more likely to have a glass or two when we go out to a nice dinner which other than our anniversary has not been too often since we got the house. So now I guess you can put me down as a non-drinker

Try teaching an aerobics class....not recommended
Could not imagine that one either!!! Or using a jack hammer with a hangover! There are just some jobs I can't imagine people doing iwth a hangover.

Re: A drinking poll....
Thanks for everyone's input. As DH likes to put it....he likes to have his 3 high-balls (Jack Daniels) and a few beers to relax. He never gets a hangover....
I just don't understand it....and I get mad at him and then it turns into an arguement. He calls it a lifestyle....but I can see from everyone's responses....that this is not the 'norm' as he tells me.
He doesn't go out to bars or anything, so he is home and there is no driving involved....I guess I should be grateful for that

I myself don't really drink - and if I do - it would be on the weekend. My Hubby will occasionally have a drink during the week, but again it is rare.

He does this EVERY night when he comes home???? He HAS to (a dependency issue means they feel they cannot do without it)
3 high balls AND beers.... TOO MUCH....#1 it's indicative of a problem and can lead to other health issues....

I probably have on average one glass of wine per week, if you average it out.

Re: A drinking poll....
Me and FH drink, and have gotten into wine the past two years. On average FH goes out with work once during the week with co workers to drink.
I usually indulge in 1-2 glasses a wine one day a week. It depends on the week.
However with all the stress the past few weeks I have upped it up to two nights a week
However, i don't get hungover and just do it to relax.

Re: A drinking poll....
It's safe to say my FH and his brothers are weekend alcoholics. My FH only drinks Friday nights if that. I do too, but not nearly as much. I tried to last weekend and he put me to bed.

Re: A drinking poll....
I voted 1-2 days but I was including weekends. But if I have 1 beer after work, thats all I'll have. And if I go out for dinner on a weekend with hunny and have 1 margarita, I stop way before I get buzzed. I havent been buzzed, or drunk for a really really long time, probably not since college.

I have a few glasses of wine on the weekends but not every weekend.
When DH gets together with his friends, the amount of empty Corona bottles on the kitchen counter the next day...well thats another story!

Socially. I never drink alone.

Re: A drinking poll....
Well I drink enough to get a great buzz at least quarterly (Quarterly meetings for my office end at a bar)
Otherwise, I drink reasonably, maybe two drinks max. Even then I dont go out often at all. Last few times have all been LIW GTGs so I guess that says it all.

Re: A drinking poll....
Just wanted to add. When I lived alone, I used to have a chilled glass of wine every day when I came home.
Alone.
I see no problem with a drink a day, nor do I see a problem with drinking alone. Everyone has different limits. *shrug*
