A dumb invitation question

A dumb invitation question

Sorry I've been asking a million invitation questions lately!

For those of you who have done DIY or partial DIY invitations, is it a pain to attach background layers to the printed layer? some places like notfromabox and mygatsby have an option to pay extra to have the layers assembled, which i'm assuming means that if you don't pay for that, you have to do it yourself. How hard is it to do, and how do you do it?

I thought it was pretty easy. I bought adhesive tape in the scrapbook aisle. You just run it down the back of the paper and then attach. It was quite simple!!!!

it's really not hard.... I got my invites from mygatsby and paid them to do it, but I made my own layered menus and it was so easy that I regreted paying the extra for my gatsby to do it! just make sure you get the roll on double sided tape. I asked my FH to get me double sided tape and he got me the regular kind and tried to convince me that it's just as easy so he tried making one and the tape didn't go on run and it left bumps all over. so I had to run out and get the tape I wanted...

They were going to charge us over $200 to put our invites together, so my FW decided she was going to do it, never the less, she somehow dragged me into it. We tried glue but it didn't work, too visible. What you need is an ATG 700 Adhesive Applicator gun. It's about $50 on ebay, and once your done you can sell it back on ebay for about $35-40. Luckily we have them at my job, so I just took one home for the day. You are going to need a couple of rolls of tape, maybe 4-5 rolls.

Anyway, search ATG Tape gun or ATG adhesive gun. It's a 3m product and it's very sticky stuff and works great. Very easy to use. Took us 3-4 hours to do 150 invites with 3 layers of paper to attach together.
