Sooooo we still haven't told anyone other than immediate family (and you ladies) and tomorrow night we are going out to celebrate a friend's birthday.
Now, I'll admit I like to drink but obviously I won't be drinking tomorrow. I don't think anyone is going to think I'm preg, but just in case... any good excuses for not drinking? Should I hold a beer and just let Danny drink it for me? What would you think if one of your friends who usually drinks wasn't drinking. I really don't want to tell anyone yet.

i wouldnt pretend to drink anything b/c that could backfire later on - people might remember that you were 'out drinking' and after you tell them the big news and they might remeber and think to themselves OMG so and so was pregnant and drinking - unless you do this routine alot its not likely to happen but i wouldnt want anyone to think i was drinking while pregnant especially if i wasnt....
maybe you can say you are medication and cant drink - or say you dont feel good???

Just say your on antibiotics
I had a friend who did this one night -- only a few of knew she was preggers and so we were the ones getting the drinks. Well one of our guy friends was really nice and went and got us a round and got her what he thought she was drinking. We had to wait until no one was looking and toss it. It is easier to say you are sick.

DIET! You can always tell them your on a diet for the wedding and your not allowed to drink for the first 2 weeks

or you might have one of those ppl who say 'ooo what are you drinking' then when you tell them they want to try some lol

get soda and say you have liquor in it say youre on medication so you cant mix it with alcohol say you just got over a bad stomach virus & youre not in the mood to drink lol

Tell them you are on the Z pack~ And then you can maybe hold one beer and have him take occasional sips so no one thinks your totally not drinking! I like to drink when we go out so I am sure my friends wouldnt believe me! So I think holding the beer is a great idea! Good luck to you !!!!

Have a glass of wine. You can drink while pregnant. The reason they tell you not to drink is because alcoholics cannot differentiate between having a drink and having 10 drinks...Or having a glass of wine versus a 6 shot Long Island Iced Tea... (the latter being a bad idea, obviously!) Talk to your doctor...

i agree with that - i dont think a social drink would do any harm - i could 100% see why you wouldnt want to do it but think about how many people drink and smoke in the first trimester not realizing they are pregnant and they have healthy babies - im not condoning it but it does happen - back in the day women drank and smoked and we turned out ok

i would just get a sprite with a lime, it looks like any combination of alcoholic beverage. and then if someone asks what you're drinking just say soda because your stomach is a bit upset
