That was one of the funniest stories I've ever heard!!!!!!! .... The sad part is that our tax money pay these peoples salaries and so much of it is wasted on incompetence.
OH MAN - I definitely feel his pain. I used to work on 9th Ave and had to use that Post Office for our mail. If you've ever been there - it's a challenge. Even finding the entrance!! There are a billion doors wrapped all around the building - but of course only a select few actually open. Then you walk in, it's a huge place - but of course only 1-2 windows are open at a time, even though there are windows that line up across the wall.
I'm so glad I'm now on 6th Ave and working for company that has a mail service who deals with that process for me...
...and some people wonder why the term is 'going Postal'...

OMG!!!!!! This is hilarious (but sadly true).
I can top the not taking money at a certain window though. My local USPS has a 'policy' of not accepting mail at the window. Yeah, the USPS mail service does not accept mail.

OMG, How funny was that!! Great story.. and very similar to my experience with the whole they don't sell them seprately.. it's a total CON! urgh!
