A Grudge...how long do you hold it for?

Trying to decide whether or not to talk to DH when he gets home tonight in light of yesterday's argument RE: Playstation. We didn't speak much at all yesterday and I went to bed before he did...

So, do I swallow my pride and pretend nothing happened? I hate to give in

I don't hold a grudge, DH does. Thats why we get along. I give in usually and try to make up.

When I get REALLY super-pissed at husband, it can be days before we communicate. I'm afraid if I don't get a day or a few to sort out my feelings, I'll end up stabbing him

I can definitely hold a grudge faaaaaaaaaar longer than DH . He just doesn't hold onto things

Sometimes I just go on and on about something for too long, at which point he just will not answer me and will remain quiet and ignore me for awhile. It took me awhile to realize that this wasn't a 'grudge' on his behalf, but just his way of making me realize that I was being psycho! (I fully admit it .. I'm the psycho out of the two of us)

After many hours of my grudge, I do really start to feel badly ... so I'll just look at him and say 'so WHEN are you going to start talking to me again'

We try not to let things linger for too long. Normally a few hours. I do however reserve the right to use it against him in future arguments.

I am so bad

I have been sleeping on our couch for the last 2 nights since Greg pissed me off... I try not to go to bed upset but on this issue I wont give in... he realized he screwed up and called during his lunch...

When it comes to DH I tend to not hold onto things for long, unless he really screws up- then he hears it for a while. when it comes to other people I can hold a gurdge endlessly.

Take it from 28+ years, choose your fights! Make the grudge fights ones worth it. I usually get even rather than not talk. Like DH hates mac & cheese and when he's been intolerable guess what the only thing he gets for dinner.....

I don't usually hold a grudge. I say my peace and thats usually the end of it. FW holds them longer than I do... but she won't admit to that.

Okay, I gave in...It's just that I got mad at him because I asked him not to do something - now we're talking again, yet he still got to do exactly what he wanted!

It drives me crazy.

Heidi, that is one of DH's hugest pet peeves - when I bring up something that we've argued about previously. I'm not allowed to do that.
