A Heads Up!

Original post by LIWeddings

Well on December 11, 2005 this website will be 10 years old! WOW, where does the time go? So, I was thinking, what can we do to celebrate? First, after doing some quick math I see that it's possible to reach 3 million posts around the date of our anniversary. Thus we must have a 3 millionth post contest. Second, we have to have one heck of a GTG. Third, well, I need some ideas. So, without being ridiculous what can all of you suggest as some type of anniversary celebration where you are on the receiving end?

I know I'm probably crossing the line, but I would take Vinny (high voltage sounds)

Yup, you crossed the line! He has new babies. Think you can wait till they grow up?

That's terrible - are any of the babies boys?

It was a hypothetical...no?

You are in need of a time out!

ON a Serious Note:

What's the budget you're working with?

About one hundred dollars for everything!
Did you think I was going to be serious after what you posted? I sent a link to this thread to Vinny's wife!

You think she'll be mad? I'd personally be flattered!

So what's the budget...we can go 'Oheka' or we can go 'Fox Hollow'

MAybe the vendors that advertise on here can donate some services....(makeup/limos/travel/chocolate fountains/ etc...) and
Since many of us have booked w/ at least one vendor the winner can than pick from any one the vendors the prize she wants.

Or we can do soemthing that the person who posts the most between certain time frames...(you can do 10 time frames) gets a prize).

Two Questions:

Why isn't this pinned? I have to keep looking for it on the BHB Board...

also...

Didn't you guys have a lot more posts? Your post # is in the 3K range..I'm surprised.

How about a party with a 'Shower' theme. In addition to prizes from LIW or vendors, everyone could bring in a gift for another bride. In order to get a gift, you'd have to give one.

If it is pinned we could not post on it.
That is our correct post count.
Why are you surprised?

Def a GTG somewhere..I've never been to one and I would love to!! How about a HUGE one, at a reallyyyyyyy nice hall like Oheka Castle? Vendors can be invited too and raffle off prizes-to all brides to be, newlyweds, nottt so newlyweds, etc. Dec 10th also falls on a Sat, so I'm sure everyoen would love to go!

i think for this site, pinned = closed post.

GTG = Party

Prizes = Vendors?

Party + Vendors = WOTY

I think this GTG needs to be a tad unique but still involve the wedding aspect of it. That would be hard to do imo.

How about a Jillains or Dave and Busters take over... (if there were enough ppl) we can have the whole thing to liweddings. There is fun with all the games... dance cause there is a dance part in there. music, etc....

i made this cause i am bored

This thread got really funny!

There have been some amazing ideas...I like:

1) The anniversary one (10 small gifts leading up to the big one)

2) The anniversary band

3) The HM or anniversary trip idea

Personally, I don't have any 'creative' ideas...but am down for whateva!
