I was wondering what you girls think of people OTHER than you bridal party taking limos to your wedding. We have a large group of friends that we hang out with on a pretty regular basis. Some we are obviously closer with than others, so some of them are in our bridal party and some arn't. Now, the people who are NOT in our bridal party are all planning on taking a limo to our wedding. I am not going to say anything to them of course, they can do whatever they want. However, my first reaction was kind of like 'oh shouldn't I be the only one taking a limo to my wedding???' But now I'm trying to think of it as they only want to make sure they have a good time, get to drink, and have a safe way to get there and back. What do you girls think of this situation???

Re: A 'just out of curiosity' question
As long as their limo doesn't pull up directly in front of the church, preventing your limo from pulling up; I would look at it as them trying to have fun and being smart about it.

I thinks it's a great idea. One of my fears is drunk drivers. I wish all my guests could afford to do that.

Re: A 'just out of curiosity' question
id probably have the same reaction as you...at first i might be a little taken back by it...but when it comes down to it, its a way they can drink and have a wonderful time without worrying about driving so id be happy they decided to do that instead of drinking and driving

I say to the church, no. To the hall, better to be safe!

Re: A 'just out of curiosity' question
Why don't you tell them that you are so happy they are taking a limo because now they can drink and have a blast but they better not show up in a white limo (if that's your color) wearing a beautiful white gown!!! Seriously...just ask them not to pick a white stretch...silver is nice, how about black.

Re: A 'just out of curiosity' question
very smart of them to do that. we did it for my cousins wedding and we were all able to enjoy ourselves. You want everyone to have a good time and this just shows they will be ready to party at your wedding good stuff

Re: A 'just out of curiosity' question
my girlfriends and his guyfriends have talked about doing this but I doubt if they will be able to organize it. I dont think I really care as long as they dont get too drunk (we have a 1.5 hour gap between church and cocktail hour)

Re: A 'just out of curiosity' question
I dont think I would mind... their reasons for it are very responsible and good... As long as they didnt take away from me or my BP I wouldnt mind at all... Did that sound bridezillaish?! I hope not!

Re: A 'just out of curiosity' question
honestly, i know that this will happen with a group of people i've invited they want to drink, have fun, and not have to worry
what could be wrong with that? honestly, other than my guests being safe, i have no care or concern as to how they get there and their mode of transportation
i can't imagine why anyone would

Re: A 'just out of curiosity' question
I would just ask them to please not have the limo pull up in front of the church. Otherwise, I don't see anything wrong with it. My only issue with the limo situation for our wedding is that I am not supplying a ride for the BM and GM's dates if they are not in the BP. I know it sounds kinda snobby, but I dont feel like I should have to get a limo that is big enough to accomodate people who are not in the BP.

some people have told me that they would be a little upset bc it would take away from the bridal party limo. Like I said, I don't feel this way, I was just wondering what you would think.

Me too. I think it is important for guests to get to and from the RH safely. My RH is 45 minutes away from my church and we hired two 55 passenger buses to get the guests who live in suffolk to and from the hall that is in nassau. I think it is good for the guests to do it to and from the RH.

Re: A 'just out of curiosity' question
SO funny you say this I just went to a wedding on this past sunday And me, my FH, my dad, his GF, my sister, and her DH all took our own limo to the wedding.
Also my Uncle and his Wife and 4 kids took a limo themselves...
I see nothing wrong with it...i never saw the bride arrive and she never saw us arriving, it was a loft in the city so we were there before her.

Re: A 'just out of curiosity' question
bigger fish to fry.
I don't even see a problem with a limo coming to the church. Everyone's usually IN the church by the time the bride pulls up....or barely anyone SEES the limo...so I wouldn't stress it. They're being smart.
